Watch out Chuckit! Whilst a good ball thrower - but massively overpriced (Chuckit brand has a new competitor) step up to the plate - NERF! as someone who uses the chuckit ball thrower ALOT, and yeah it's very good BUT this ball thrower is BETTER! I've given it a well deserved 5/5 stars all round. And rightly so, the sturdy design, price (which just proves why the chuckit is so overpriced now) everything about this thrower oozes class, for ME you get more distance with the nerf ball thrower, it's a pleasure to use and my Lab loves it! Well made, sleek design, ergonomic handle grip - this looks and feels and works like NO OTHER ball thrower on the market. Hands down better than it's main overpriced rival. For any dog loving ball chaser - this is a must have. The only slight disadvantage it has compared to it's main rival is that it doesn't quite grip the ball on the ground quite as good as a chuckit branded thrower, but that's only a very minor complaint and does not deter a solid 5 outta 5 stars across the board. Get bit of kit, fabulous price I'm finding this impossible to fault in any major way. IT'S SIMPLY FOR ME A MUST BUY.

I've tried an unbranded thrower, a "chuck it" thrower which is longer than this, and the shorter version of this. The difference between the longer chuck it and the shorter Nerf one is basically the length of the grip, rather than a longer bendy section. This Nerf one simply throws it further than the others I've tried and is inexpensive.My dog likes to use it as a tug toy and, being a jumper, will sometimes get it from me and run off. It stands up to a bit of chewing and works fine. For 7ish quid, I can't see how it could be better.

I am a professional dog trainer. I have used tennis ball chuckers since they arrived on the market, and have used dozens of them over the years. They usually do not last. The handels are usually held ridgid by very thin plastic which breaks very easily making the item usless. Many are too short to allow a decent throw. Others have very thin plastic wings to hold the ball in place, which break far to easily. This chucker is the best I have ever used. The handel is very well made and is comfortable to use. The stem is profiled, never seen that before. It is very well made. The length is perfect and allows a good throw with little effort. The holder takes a regular sized tennis ball.This item is very good value for money. I defy anyone to find a better one at any cost. I have tried them all.

Got this to replace a sturdy ball thrower that snapped at the “mouth” part (my fault). This is made of rigid plastic that’ll throw the ball a long way (not like others that “flex” too much and you lose “power”. However, only 4 stars because when throwing, the ball comes out at a sharp, downward angle (not “flexing” at the “mouth”) but if you adjust your throwing angle it’s fine (aim higher). As a result, I like it but the missus doesn’t (was fine with the last one). She’s sticking with a “bendier” one. This new one is solid and will last.

I have used pound shop, GoodBoy, and ChuckIt dog ball launchers and by far the best I've used is this Nerf Deluxe Air Strike. Its strong and robust with very short but rigid ball grabbing teeth. You would think the ball wouldn't stay held in, but it's so well engineered that the resistance with the ball is just enough to stay held in for walking to and from the park but enough to launch the ball a good enough distance to keep my 9 month old labrador Archie entertained for so long as he likes. The ball is excellent (btw it is a ball and not a chew toy. Never leave a ball like this with your dog unsupervised). With it being orange and blue Archie can find it in long grass easily. I will definitely be buying some more of these balls. I payed over £10 for this launcher but I would say it is worth every penny. If you think a dog ball launcher can't be 90% better than a pound shop alternative, it is!

The trick is not to push the ball fully into the cup. My German Shepherd’s are pooped after 10mins

I have given this 3 stars because I expected the ball to last more than 2 minutes !!! It’s quite dangerous really as the dog just crushed it in his mouth .The chucker is quite sturdy and luckily fits the rubber Chuck it balls .

Straight up - the ball will fall apart in about 15 min. But you're buying this for the thrower. I used to judge people who had one of these as lazy, but anyone who has a large dog that slobbers knows better. No more wet hands! This also leverages your throws to really get that ball out there. High recommend.

Works and feels the way I expected it too.

We (dog and I) love this thing. Many balls have been thrown and retrieved and still in great shape.

anzichè prenderne uno cinese ho preso questo della nerf che è bello solido.pratico, non ti soorchi le mani, lanci lontano, non ti stanchi... il cane corre e si diverte, tu non ti riempi le mani di bava. ho preso anche le palline in gomma oltre a quella inclusa che è tipo tennis.
