It keeps most of the leaves and debris out, so I spend a lot less time cleaning before we can enjoy the pool.I also really like the drain holes in the center of the cover. They allow rainwater to drain instead of collecting on top, and they also help keep the pool water looking clean.Last but not least, call me crazy, but I honestly think this cover helps the water stay a little warmer. It seems to retain some of the heat, which is a nice bonus.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cover WILL work - use VELCRO!!! *by on Reviewed in the United States June 28, 2020* Like many of you, I read through reviews to see if this pool cover was worth buying. We have the 10' Summer Waves pop up pool and it works perfectly. Some advice to help the cover work perfectly:1.) Buy industrial strength velcro!!! I purchased the brand Stronghold in the 2" and it worked great.2.) Place the cover over the pool where you want it to stay in place.2.) Put 1 piece of velcro on the poles facing out (you don't have to put it on every pole, but for more stability you can).3.) The matching piece of velcro will go on the INSIDE of the cover.* Make sure you place the velcro on the pole LOW enough so the cover will be tight on the pool.* To help water from pooling in the center, we kept floaties with a beach ball in the center to give the cover some height from underneath.* Don't pull too hard on the cover, it definitely isn't super durable, and when it's in the sun, it will stretch, maybe ripping it accidentally. Be careful...Hope this helps!!! Definitely a good cover, but the string to tie it securely around the perimeter of the pool will not be enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the price, an excellent product *by on Reviewed in the United States June 29, 2016* The photo doesn't quite show the product we got, there are some differences. The logo placement, which is no big deal. Also, there are holes through the cover which allow the passage of air. These are a good thing, keeping a vacuum from forming, keeping the thing from acting like a wing in high winds and blowing off into your neighbor's yard. It's just that the photo doesn't show the actual product. maybe the one in the photo is an earlier model? We actually have the 13' pool, but there is no cover that size available, so we got this one. It works just fine despite the size difference. In fact, because we have the extra area, we don't have to take the ladder out to put the cover on. We just stretch the cover over the ladder. Which made me realize that if you DO have the 15' pool, you would have to remove the ladder to put the cover on. I'm kinda lazy, so that's not an appealing idea to me.The vinyl is thick and high quality, which matters a lot to us as we live in a desert with very high UV that destroys everything in a short amount of time.Even so, I've noticed a bleaching effect occurring around the areas with the holes. Not sure if that's the chlorine from the pool water, the sun's rays being amplified by the water on top of the cover, or a combination of the two. Pretty sure that's gonna be where the vinyl starts failing, though.I have noticed we lose hardly any water to evaporation when using the cover. Without any cover, we were losing 2"/day of water! The desert is a harsh mistress. We were using black plastic sheathing before we bought this cover, and I'm very happy with the convenience of the cover, the drawstring, the seams, all of that kinda stuff. Marked improvement over our rigged up cheapo cover. I do wish it were a lighter color to help reflect the sun more. It looks light blue, but is more of a medium blue, and it gets pretty hot to the touch in the full sun. When you remove it, it burns your hands pretty quickly if you're not careful. That's not the fault of the cover, though, and I see no way to remedy that except to shade your whole pool. For the price, it's fantastic, although i have a feeling with our harsh conditions, it won't last more than a year. That's par for the course here, though, so not really a minus. It's a good value. If you have the pool, you should get the cover. In fact, I think they only sell the pools with covers now, so that should tell you how much they help. ## Frequently Bought Together - INTEX 28031E Pool Cover: For 12ft Round Metal Frame Pools – Includes Rope Tie – Drain Holes – 10in Overhang – Snug Fit - Intex 26711EH Prism Frame Premium Above Ground Swimming Pool Set: 12ft x 30in – Includes 530 GPH Cartridge Filter Pump – SuperTough Puncture Resistant – Rust Resistant – 1718 Gallon Capacity - HTH 42049 Pool Care 1" Chlorine Tabs, Swimming Pool Sanitizer with Added Clarifier - Eliminates Bacteria & Algae, Makes Water Clean & Crystal Clear, Sanitizes & Protects - Slow Dissolving, 1.5 lbs --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/81509765-intex-28031e-pool-cover-for-12ft-round-metal-frame-pools](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/81509765-intex-28031e-pool-cover-for-12ft-round-metal-frame-pools) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
