Collins Easy Learning French Grammar

Excellent book for beginners. For concept and knowledge good book. Only drawback is pronunciation of of French word are not written in English. Kids face difficulties to pronounce all French words as a beginners.

The book is written in simple and easy language. There is extensive cross referencing of related topics, with page numbers, which makes it easier to read the book. Ideally, one should sit with pen and notebook and practice this grammar. But, it is strictly for beginners. Not an advanced book.

It is more than expectation, I bought several books of French for my study. It is best among them. The given lesson is too concise but helpful for understanding for any level learner.

This is my favourite french book I have come across. I have learned a lot from it, and it is very well laid out in a clear manner.

This is a great book to have if you're learning french. It clearly explains each vocabulary rule and gives examples of how to use them. The back of the book also includes a list of most commonly used verbs and how to conjugate them in various tenses. Very helpful and easy to understand.

Brilliant for a quick overview of French grammar. I love the verb tables at the end of the book which are in a clear and precise layout. The book is full of tips and examples on how to use what you are learning as you progress through the book. It explains where to put adjectives in a sentence when more than one is used ie a young blonde woman = une jeune femme blonde.I found the book extremely useful as I'm learning on my own at home but there are obviously some people who have more time to delve into really comprehensive verb table books available on the market (which I also have!!) but with limited time and many years since I learned English grammar, this little book provides a good insight without having to go through lengthy exercises before I can learn,remember and practice. It gives sufficient confidence to perhaps venture forth in greater depth into the field of French grammar at a later date when the basics have been fully grasped using this amazing book.Once again, Collins have come to the rescue!!

Excellent basis to work from for anyone learning French. Bought it in 2004 on way to Biarritz and bought a second hand copy of same edition for a freind whose learning French a few months agon (2023). Excellent on verbs and conjugations. Highly recommend.

I have many French books. I found this to be the most useful of them for studying French. I use it for quick reference.
