I have had so many of the "flavored" vodkas out there and although some of them are okay when mixed with something, most are just bad, fake tasting with a chemical after taste. So when I saw this product I was excited to try to make my own flavored vodka at home to see if the taste is better. After doing this yourself, you will not ever go back!This kit makes it so easy and has all the things needed! It is so much better and so much cheaper than buying the pre-flavored stuff and you know you are not drinking fake chemicals.You can use high quality vodka, but you don't have to. I usually use Stoli or Svedka and it works great.I love that there is a serving bottle with a chalk board label, I just served "Stoli Doley's" (Pineapple infused Stoli) last night and got so many compliments on how nice the bottle is and on how good the martini's turned out, and it took me all of 5 minuted to put together.This price is right on, and I plan to buy these for holiday gifts. It is so unique and perfect for the person "who has everything"It comes nicely packaged and I love that it has a recipe book right there. I had no idea all of the things you can infuse vodka with. I am especially excited to try infusing herbs on the next round as well as candy for the holidays.This just totally upped my at-home cocktail game and I cant wait to try all the different recipes!For the holiday's I am so excited to try candy infused cocktails as well has the herb ones. Many moons ago I inherited a bottle of bootleg banana liquor made during prohibition. It is shelved exclusively as decoration placed alongside a bottle of Everclear grain alcohol; its contents I swear can melt the scales right off a dragon, and then those two sit alongside way more smoother tasting lip smacking liquors.During Thanksgiving this year (2016) one of my daughter-in-laws removed that precious banana liquor bottle from its dusty spot on the liquor shelf asking if she could try it and started gazing around for a corkscrew. I PANICKED. With an undiplomatic grab, snatched the precious bottle out of her twenty-something fingers explaining its contents were made during the prohibition era by her father-in-laws grandfather long gone from this Earth but now residing in it, and I was not about to open it now or in the future. BOY that left her wide-eyed...and then I realized she probably had no clue to what prohibition was. I was correct. So after a short apology to my rudeness, a short history lesson ensued while we (she, my son, and little ol' me) had a shot each of its shelf companion, that Everclear grain alcohol, explaining something like it was probably the base ingredient of that banana liquor she wanted to try. That is when she declared she would very much like to learn how to make her own. But I hadn't any idea how to tell her to go about it. THUS, one of her Christmas presents she received this year from my husband and me was of the SPIRIT INFUSION KIT.I was thrilled to find there was such a practical and reasonably priced kit offered through AMAZON one could conveniently purchase. I understand through the product description the kit comes with a detailed recipe book. Having taken the unwrapped, unopened gift of the SPIRIT INFUSION KIT home with them Christmas Eve, my hope now is she and my son will be inspired to create their own treasured banana liquor. And as they imbibe, perhaps remember the conversation we had during Thanksgiving of the old bottle of prohibition banana liquor displayed on my shelf. ...I wonder if they realize they will probably inherit my husband's grandfathers' bootlegged bottle themselves one day, and that bottle of booze will be creating yet another family memory to pass along; a final grand toast to what life is all about, yes?

The product itself seems great and will make an excellent gift. The only problem I had with it was the shipping. It was not sealed at all. It was not put in any additional packaging to protect it. I feel lucky that nothing was damaged or missing. And with the packing sticker placed directly on the box, it took away from the general appearance of it as a gift.

I received this kit as a gift from my wife I was excited and I have been absolutely loving it. It came packaged very nicely, with each glass piece secure in a cardboard cut out to ensure they don't break. The kits comes with a huge recipe book with 70+ vodka recipes and a short history of infusing spirits. The glass pieces are of high quality and are easy to clean. Imbibing liquor at home allows me to chose my own all natural ingredients to use with this kit versus relying on pre-made liquors (who knows what goes into those). My first time trying this I used the Cranberry vodka recipe. It was super easy to follow the instructions and the vodka came out great (with a dash of La Croix). This kit has become my new favorite item to show off in my home bar when I have friends and family over. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to create great tasting, natural spirits.
