They work well
I bought a light fixture recently that had a similar socket. I didn't like that the light fixture had purchased had a plastic socket with metal tabs inside. I feel it's safer to have a full metal internal socket which is why I bought these. It worked as a replacement without any issue. My only complaints are that I only needed one and had to buy 6.

2 thumbs up!
I wanted to leave a review for others interested in making pipe lamps. The socket, with a little sanding fits perfectly into a 3/4×1 1/4 bell housing. I have researched many videos and none have i seen with my results. The sanding is done on the ring where my finger is pointed....you will figure this out after trying to fit from original state. Be cautious as to only sand enough, as to much will get through plastic. Keep socket intact, and sand until fit. If done correctly, as picture shows socket will fit entirely in bell housing and can be epoxied in per your choice of product........one concern of mine was heat, as socket is completely enclosed in metal housing. My test with an incondescent 60 watt edison bulb, the one in the pic. With a heat gun, light on for 1 1/2 hour, upper 70'F on the bell housing...unscrewed socket to get internal reading and upper 80'F. As for quality of socket....well i havent put it to use, but its a light socket...fits loosely in plastic but that has no effect on insulation or functionality......have fun and i hope this helped in your quest!

Not really for pendants
These were for a lamp I made with iron pipe in an industrial style. The sockets are made well enough but the lamp shades have a 1 5/8" hole and these sockets are 1 1/4' diameter. I had to make some large washers to get the shades to fit. All the shades at the home centers and even the ones advertised on Amazon have the larger hole. Luckily the shades I got came with an adapter which I was able to modify to fit. For me to turned out well but if you aren't handy theses aren't for you.

Served it's purpose
Not that they are bad or anything, but just be aware that pretty much the only thing that is metal on these things is the actual socket threads and wire screws. Everything else is plastic. Not that you can tell though and the plastic doesn't seem to be all that bad of quality. Just don't be surprised when you go to use them.

Sturdy, work great
At first I was skeptical but as I figured out how the pieces fit together think it is sturdy, strong, and well made. It screws apart/together in several pieces. Yes, some screws were loose but they were in the box. I think they come loose in shipping. I used this to create an array of LED lamps as a grow light panel. I have not used anything similar for comparison but this fits the budget.

Good product, manufacturer could increase QC
Good product at a great price. 3 of the sockets were missing 1 terminal screw each. I only needed 3 sockets, so wasn’t a big deal, however could cause some frustration if you need all 6 and don’t have time to try to find screws that will fit the terminals.

Works good but quality control is lacking
These sockets look nice and work fine. The problem is that there was one small screw missing from all but 2 sockets. The screw inside where you attach the wire was missing on most of the sockets I purchased and I have been unable to find replacements locally. I was able to cannibalize several of the light sockets to get enough screws to complete my project but now I'm left with a few spare sockets with no screws whatsoever.I would have given a 5 star review if it wasn't for the missing parts on most of the sockets.
