What is the actual length of the large toy? It claims 11 - 18 inches, but that is a really big range unless they vary between toys.

He is 11.5 inches. We have had Charming Pet for over a month and he is chewed daily by a 13 mo. Old Great Dane and a 104# Doberman mix. It is still perfect, squeakers and all, although a bit slobbered. My dogs love it as well as Henrietta chicken.

Does this toy make noise when you squeeze it or upon release?

Yes, very much so! I find it hilarious, but others might find it annoying if it is constantly pressed. This toy Squawks instead of the typical squeaky dog toy.

Need to replace just the squeaker in my boxer-pit's chicken squawkers,don't know which one to buy, please help ?

This will include the entire toy. My advice would be to just replace the toy with a new one rather than trying to fix it.
