This has got to be the best kit for beginners to intermediate burners. All the attachments, stencils, and colored pencils are a nice surprise for as little as it costs. Not to mention it also solders. I couldn't be happier.

So far, so good but just received it today. I've gone through 4 other wood burners in the past 6 weeks. They all seem to stop heating at all or properly after a few weeks of use. I will update in a couple of months with durability.I also have a problem with this type of burner because the burner is too long and there is no way to steady your hand while burning. But since I've had so many issues with other burners, thought I'd try this type again.

I liked the fact that all items can be neatly organized in carrying case. However, the temperate control is so tiny, needed a magnifier to change/read temperature. Unfortunately, a first time user of this type of product and did not anticipate how it would be inconvenient when using different tips for different styles i.e. have to wait on equipment to cool to change tip and wait on reheat. Makes it a very time consuming project. Only great if the tip you have on can be used from beginning to end. So was disappointed in that aspect. Otherwise, a reasonable product for a first tjme user. If I am using wrong, would appreciate advise from a more experienced user. Thanks.

This was picked out of a wide selection for a gift. This was something I thought they would like. It had plenty of options and looked very nice. So far I haven’t heard anything about it as yet. I thought it would be something I would like and did like. Amazing product far as looks, since it was a gift I didn’t open but was sure tempted.

ive had it for 24 hours now and used it quite a bit already, i noticed the tips get loose while in use so i have too keep tightening them with pliers to i dont burn myself. also a small tip ( my favorite one) broke the same day i used it. Some pieces came with it and i have no idea how to use them, there is no attachment piece for them so i dont know what ill do with them but maybe ill figure something out. The grip seems to get real hot but doesnt melt but still too hot to comfortably hold, i feel awkward holding it. also the cord length isnt as long as id like it to be. There doesnt seem to be any instructions either, although it came with a pamphlet but it seems to be just tips on what the pieces are capable of creating. I would return it but it doesnt seem there are any other much options to choose from, they all seem to have the same design of handle and tips etc. unless you want to pay 50 and above. ill continue to use it and see how the rest holds up and ill update on that.

This product is great. I especially love that the temperature control is in the handle instead of the other set I have that has it hanging off the cord (which makes woodburning difficult.This set is as described and well worth the money.

I love this gift. It has a temperature control knob, came with a wide selection of burning, carving, and engraving heads, and a stand. For a woodworker, this tool comes in handy in so many ways!

Overall good value for money, one thing I found that is a slight problem is the temperature control, it is hard to read and adjust, the holder for hot gun is not very stable. The instructions are also hard to read.

The kit itself looks impressive. My first attempts at wood burning did not go well at all. Tip got too hot and started to bend. I gave up. Thankfully I decided to try again and tackled the job I wanted to do. First and foremost, I did not read the instructions properly! Very tiny, needed a magnifying glass to read. Then I was able to some amazing work on 3 picnic tables! Great kit, even used the stencils to date one of the tables. And the colouring pencils were a nice addition. Not sure about my next project but this kit is great for beginners :)

Some of the tips got weak and bend during usage. It couldn't handle the heat i guess?

There ste a lot of pieces to this set but not enough instruction or information to give you the full benefit, for a novice like me it it's overwhelming how many little pieces there are and whether best for wood or soldering.As for the heat, I have found you need it a lot hotter than what it recommends to have any effect.The final thing is that the heat seems to badly effect the attachments, almost like they weren't designed for high temperature as they go very blue / discoloured. Very quickly going from pristine condition to looking like they have been used extensively for years.

Great starter kit, it has everything you need to get started (a part from wood) and the wood burner seems well made. My only complaint is that if you’re using it for an extended period of time the tip attachment starts to become loose which makes it a bit more difficult to use. Other than that it is a good product and many of the items in the kit are useful (especially the stand). The adjustable temperature is also great to have.
