High quality earphones with involving, exciting sound quality
I wanted to write a more relevant review for these than the others (as they all seem to be from late 2018). These earphones came out in November of last year - so all these reviews stating connectivity issues are just teething issues. You have to remember this is a small company that won't have the testing department of larger ones such as Apple. Now for my thoughts. I've had these a little over a week, I wanted to get rid of wires as they annoy me at work dangling about all the time. I've had Bose in ear headphones for the past year or so, and once these earphones had broken in THEY KNOCK THOSE OUT THE WATER. I'm no expert reviewer, nor an audiophile particularly, but the bass is punchy rather than rumbly (which I like), the mids are clear and involving and the highs are lovely and tactile - perhaps a little sharp with the silicone ear buds (I'd use the foam ones). The build quality is lovely - especially the charger case, the aluminium casing is cold to the touch and the swivel-open mechanism is oddly satisfying. The rest is a matte-soft touch type plastic which feels nice. I'm a product designer so love a simple elegant design. I've had no connectivity issues at all - once these hook up to the phone first time, they auto-connect in about 5 seconds. And I've had no cutouts to music. Battery is good, I needed the best battery possible as I listen throughout the working day - they give about 5 hrs per charge and take about 20 mins to recharge in the box, which suits me fine. So to be honest if you're looking for wireless earbuds and aren't a "badge snob" then I'd highly recommend. There's a reason most review websites sing this product's praise 🤷

Almost there, just not quite...
So it was a choice of these, the Jabra’s or Bose Soundsport. I went with these due to RHA’s excellent reputation and being a British company. Summary: Almost there, just not quite. Would I pay what I paid for them again? No. Would I pay sub-£100 yes. Sound quality, for ear buds, good. A much more rounded sound than my Bose QC30’s, crisp and balanced, with no overpowering, hammering bass or painful treble. Product quality, excellent. The case is nicely finished as are the earphones themselves finished with a soft touch plastic that has lasted many sweaty boxing sessions with no marking. Only gripe is the right button is a little unresponsive / lacks the feel of the left. Fit, not as comfortable as the Jabra, but I definitely found the comply foam tips the best for fit when working out. The silicone work well but do work loose if you are doing a very energetic work out. I’ve never had one fly out though. Connection, this is where they lose out and it is a bit of a biggy. Getting them to connect can be hit and miss. You take the right out and in a short amount of time take the left out. Sometimes the left doesn’t pair, sometimes it pair and the right drops off. It did get better after a hard reset, but occasionally the left takes a few ins and outs to get it to connect. I have experienced drop out in the same places I run through and I think something interferes with the signal which doesn’t happen with my Bose. The big gripe though is that if I stop my music for more than a few minutes using the buttons, getting it started results in you having to use the phone, where you may have to hit play multiple times and then occasionally the connection will drop out and then re-connect and take a while to get going. Very annoying. Sometimes I it the button and it takes around a minute to get the music going again. When making calls I had an issue where calls would only last 30 seconds before repeatedly dropping Bluetooth connection and reconnecting making calls all but impossible. So far this has been solved by a hard reset. Calling, aside from the dropping issues (solved at the moment), quality in both ends puts the Bose to shame dramatically. It is clear and crisp even when outside. It was only when I was in a very loud pub that the other end had an issues. Customer Service, with the issues I’ve had RHA have been great. Quick to respond and very helpful. Would I recommend these? At a lower price definitely. If RHA sent a firmware updated to fix the connectivity issues they would be excellent.

Great Sound, comfort, fit and isolation. Acceptable lip sync, connectivity and headset
The good - they sound great. Well balanced sound, with just the right amount of bass omph (for me at least). Clarity is good. Have enjoyed listening to a variety of audio from Jazz to ambient, Techno to hip-hop, as well as audio books on audible. The comfort is good (for me with the large Comply tips included). The isolation is really good. Not up to my Etymotics, but nothing is, and these are way more comfortable. The sound isolation is very good. I happily use these on flights or in gym, without any issue. The fit is secure and brisk walking/gentle running is no issue. Battery life seems good, no issues. The Acceptable - The connectivity is ok. Sometimes a problem connecting on initial use and I need to reconnect. If I am walking with the phone in my pocket needs to be in right pocket, not left, otherwise there are fairly frequent drop outs. Certainly significantly worse than my airpods were. The lip sync is ok, but not perfect. It is noticeable but not enough to prevent using for video watching. Its an annoyance rather than a showstopper. When used as a headset they are ok, but for me the isolation is an issue. It needs a mode to feed a little real world noise in, so your voice sounds more natural. All in all very good. A firmware update with improved connectivity, lip sync and headset functions would get them to 5 stars ----- Update 8/3/19 - Tempted to remove a 1/2 star, if I could. Connectivity in a busy built up area (Tokyo) has been an issue with rather more frequent drop outs than I would like. I'll leave at 4 now, but may update again, if more dropouts occurring. ------ Update 22/3/19 I will give the customer service 5* They sent me a replacement pair to see if they could fix the connectivity/drop out issues. The new pair seem to have improved things (limited testing so far), with dropouts at a level similar to my airpods before. But I'm super impressed with customer service.

Excellent sound let down by ongoing connection issues.
The RHA True connect were (and still are) my first pair of true wireless headphones. Having had them for well over a year (for my sins), I thought I would finally get round to writing an in-depth review to help others make decisions in this crowded market. If you can't be bothered reading this epic review here's a spoiler. Don't bother buying these get something else! What drew me to the RHA True Connect? First of all, I wanted a pair of headphones that I could use for the gym (once a year), commuting (to my sofa- furlough life), and had an in-ear design with earbud tips (i like to feel the soundwaves assault my brain). These had it all! Multiple tips to fit any ear (Yes even Martin Clunes or those of you looking like the European Cup), an IPX5 rating (a fancy way to say sweat proof), and some glowing reviews from numerous tech websites (Judas), I took the plunge- at the big sum of £140 at the time. So why then only 2 stars? (I'd give 2.5 if I could) The Good; The sound quality is a belter. Big bass, but not overpowering like a pair of D-R-E Beats circa 2012. A Well balanced middle and a clear, concise upper range, these headphones are adaptable to most types of music, whether it be dance (i like to stick a donk on it), ambient, rock (more cowbell), pop, or metal. I often listen to podcasts (big up Perter Crouch- Pass The Pod) and the clarity is great. As someone partial to a bit of Debussy and a cry for classical music or songs with rich arrangements the instruments can get a bit muddled. For most listeners though sound quality is boss. The general feel of the product. Everyone loves soft-touch plastic and this has plenty. Like a VW dashboard. The battery life for me has been great. I know loads of headphones have surpassed its rating of 5 hours, but if these run out of battery during a marathon you aren't running quick enough. Everyone loves a good box & unboxing (cheeky) and I can confirm this is a great box. Inside you get all the accessories you need, this isn't apple. It even comes with a lovely steel card that holds all the different ear tips and accessories. Like something, you'd get in a John Lewis Christmas cracker. Fit is great for my ears, the medium-sized foam tips are perfect and create a great seal (solitary brother!) and I've never found them uncomfortable. Unless like my girlfriend you have an ear canal shaped like the maze at Hampton Court Palace- ( year 5 school trip), I think you'll be sound. No lag or sync issues when watching videos on Netflix... sorry, Amazon Prime Video. The Bad; Connection Issues. Like other, more experienced reviewers have mentioned, and who I should have listened to in the first place, the biggest single issue with these headphones is the connection problems. At first, I had the odd dropping out of sound (very rare) between the right and the left earphone. No biggie I thought. Then they developed the annoying problem of each earbud falling to pair with each other. That's ok I'll get in touch with RHA. I contacted RHA who advised me on how to re-set the headphones and pair the earbuds again. Perfect no more stress. Wrong! The problem just comes from time to time. Usually when you least want it too. But let me set the scene, you haven't been for a run in weeks since the novelty of lockdown wore off, you are now a fat mess (thanks, Boris) but you have plucked up the courage to lace them trainers again. You get to the door, get the headphones out the case and they pair with your phone. You put on the eye of the tiger and disaster, sound out of only one ear (it changes between L or R to keep me on my toes). I then spend the next 5min or so putting them back in the case, taking them out again to repair, searching for the RHA manual to re-set the things. And by that time you are now sat down with a beer and share bag of Doritos. So yeah, connection not great and is making me fat (er). But that isn't all. As well as the problem above, the headphones also don't like to play nicely with certain devices. My iPhone XR and Garmin watch seem to work perfectly all the time (apart from the odd issue above) which annoyingly is why I haven't got rid of them yet. However, the connection with my new Samsung TV is so bad I'd rather listen to a dial-up modem. I have checked the connection with an old pair of Bluetooth headphones and they work perfectly with Bluetooth -3 or whatever it was back then. All I want to do is watch the real housewives of Cheshire( Did I mention I was furloughed? Don't judge I've got nothing left to watch) in peace. In conclusion, if it wasn't already clear I can't recommend these headphones. The sound quality, in general, is fantastic and for around £90 now you would be hard-pressed to get better. However, unless those connection issues have been sorted spend your money elsewhere.

Make your own mind up ....
So ..... read the reviews, and purchased with some apprehension as the overall conclusion was that their great sound quality came with connectivity problems. Being someone who does a lot of research, including other peoples opinions, I received them expecting the same, but wanting them to be wrong. The outcome? ... really pleased..Set them up, and played music from my phone. Great sound, very comfortable, but with some drop out, but not significant. Went for a walk today, and same again - great sound, some dropout. Sat down this afternoon, and played with some of the bluetooth settings on my phone (Galaxy Note 9). Found one that toggles Dual Audio - allows bluetooth streaming to two devices. Toggles it over and noticed an immediate difference Been perfect since. Sound is really good. Only had them a day or so, so early days but will update this review should things change. Update 15th January. Ok, so took them on a walk yesterday and experienced constant audio loss on left earbud, most notably on turning my head I.e. to check for traffic on the road. Contacted RHA who asked me a number of questions and provide evidence of purchase. They gave me a couple of things to try, which involved resetting the earbuds, and then ensuring that I removed the buds from their charging box in the correct sequence. Right first, then left. Although it sounds stupid, I struggled with this as when I open my box (with LED lights and logo) on top, the right bud is on the left of the box, and the left on the right of the box. I needed to take a moment to remember this. Anyway, struggle over, used them today and all seems ok agai. No problem. They really are a great set of buds and really comfortable. I like the ability to control the audio with a press of the button on each earbud, but do not like that they are fiddly to remove from the box. You invariably end up pressing the button on removal. Still happy with them

Great for anyone who doesn't want to wear them outside.
I had high hopes having read numerous reviews that I respect for these headphones and had a couple of RHA products before which I've been very happy with. They arrived at my office and first impressions were excellent. The case is really well made and feels great, and the materials and look of the buds and case show real quality. They arrived charged up, so I quickly paired them with my Samsung A6 - quick and flawless pairing - and stuck on some music. I am no audiophile but the sound is really very good - best earbud sound I've heard, but then I've not really listened to many competing products at the high end of the market. I would say I thought they were a bit quiet on full volume, so I played with the array of earbuds that are supplied which got a better fit and improved the sound quality, but not the volume. Lunchtime arrived and I went out to get some lunch - I work in Central London so it's busy with lots of competing bluetooth and wifi singals - and it was here that the problems started. I had the phone in a jacket pocket and as soon as I stepped outside, the headphones became unusable because of the frequency of dropouts. I was getting maybe one or two seconds of music before one or other earbud dropped out. I tried my jeans pocket - no improvement. I tried holding the phone infront of me - slight improvement, but seriously who is spending 150 notes on headphones that mean you have to walk around with your phone out all the time? I disconnected and reset and re-paired the headphones, toggled bluetooth on and off and reset the cache on the phone, then restarted the phone - still unbelievable amounts of drop outs. Lunch in hand, I walked back into the building and the rock solid high quality sound experience returned. I got on to RHA's email support who told me to do all the things I've done which I did again, but the walk to the station was if anything worse. Once I boarded the train, all fine again even when walking. I walked around in the house with my phone in the evening and the signal is rock solid. I've sadly packaged them up and returned them as I mainly bought them for running and never even got close to thinking that would be a sensible idea.

A Really cracking pair of Earbuds.
Very easy to set up, great sound, simple really. I've worn these for a couple hours at a time on long walks, with no interference or cut outs and no feelings of discomfort. Works seamlessly with an iphone and i've tested them with an android device as well. Music, phone calls, using Siri or Google Assistant, everything was smooth and crisp. Battery life is fine and the charging case is there anyway to top you up if need be. One piece of advice I will offer though is, before you buy these, be aware than they sit in your ear canal and form a seal which almost makes them noise cancelling, so be aware when using these outdoors that vehicle noises and people's voices will be masked, this was a prime factor in my own purchase, but might be something others may not be keen on. If you are used to having a set of earphones that create a seal in the ear canal you'll be aware that you can hear yourself chewing, or your footsteps when walking/running, however, after a couple of minutes you don't notice it and you can always crank up the volume.

Great sound. Poor battery life + connectivity issues.
The sound quality from these earphones is great, although I have noticed the Bluetooth connection can tend to drop out from time to time if you have your phone (Bluetooth device) in your trouser pocket which can be annoying. Pros Sound quality Plenty of additional/spare earbud tips Design (look way better than some other wireless earbuds out there) Cons Connectivity issues Battery life (always seem to need recharged) Unable to 'turn off' earbuds even when not connected via Bluetooth Overall I would recommend these earbuds if you are in the market specifically for wireless earbuds for light use (exercise/daily walk). However, if you are looking for wireless connectivity which can be be used for longer periods of time then I would strongly advise you to look at the Audio-Technica ATHM50x headphones. These can be used wireless, or wired, and are great for home/studio use. The battery life is also better with these headphones 👍🏻

RHA sound in wireless format
I usually don't like to listen music thru wireless headphones. Nowadays everything is wireless and numerous conference calls everyday made me reconsider my old thought... I want to try a wireless headset, not too expensive, but practical/functional - and of course, satisfying sound quality. After long search, I found RHA Trueconnect (old version) at very attractive price. I already have a wired earphones from RHA (CL750), and love its sound. So I give it a try for my new adventure - wireless sound world. Setting: it is so easy and simple. Once you set up, it will be automatically connected thanks to quick pairing. Only drawback is one quick pairing at a time - I need to unpair one device and pair other manually, not thru quick pairing. I could not find a manual explaining how to pair and switch multiple devices. Sound (and Fit): no complaints here. It has very balanced sound - not to tilted towards low or high, which I really like. Provided Comply Foam Tips are awesome (CL750 also provided these) - good fit/sound isolation/comfortable. Call quality is also good - clean and crisp. However, definitely mic quality from wired headset would be more crisp (bluetooth mic with noise cancelling feature has very distinctive sound - kind of echoey (is this actually a word??). Connection: relatively acceptable - good coverage (placing my phone in one room, and able to work around other rooms). Some unstable connection at certain spots of our house and yard - probably too many wireless devices sending a ping. Strangely, there was some disconnection when I laid down for ground workout, nothing major, but more unstable bluetooth connection... For work-from-home applications, it worked well - connection-wise and sound quality-wise. There is one thing I could not figure out yet - during the video conference calls (zoom/skype/team), only right earbud is active: it seems I have a mono hand's free device in my right ear. After each call, I checked both earbuds whether they were working, and both worked well playing music in stereo. I was unable to find instructions how to make stereo during conference call. If anyone has any idea, please share tips. Battery Life: once fully charged (both earbuds and case), I was able to use a week (3-4 hours a day) w/o charge. It is good enough for me. Bottomline: it has RHA sound (very balanced), comfortable tips, and noise-canceling feature. Most of all, price was right for me to choose RHA Trueconnect over other fantastic true wireless earbuds. If you are looking for a TWE at price range of $30-40 and want to use it for various things (not just listening music, but conference calling), this would be a good choice...
