Reading the it feels like this is a book about six holy people. Her holiness is only over shadowed by her extraudinary accomplishments.

Extraordinary biography of a Saint
This book wonderfully written is a testimony of how a soul can literally change the world by giving herself up and take care of the poorest of the poor.I had never realized the degree of poverty and misery that exist in the world until I read this wonderful book and how a loving person can make a difference to this in need.A life changing document that inspires us to give a little of ourselves to others.

Authoritative, sober, fact-heavy treatment of Mother Teresa's radiant life and ministry
Spink does a virtually unassailable job in her sturdy, by-the-numbers account of the life of Mother Teresa's entire life. Imagine her bio being written by someone objective, professional, ethical, and who had significant access to Mother and the circle of "helpers" in her astonishing life. Spink is not interested in being sentimental; she is interested in being accurate and keeps any bias she might have to a blessed minimum. Forget the maniacal raving and hysterical shrieking and flopsweat neurosis emanating like toxic waste from sybaritic roué-types like what's-his-name. What *was* his name? Funny, it doesn't seem to endure. The name of Mother Teresa does, however, endure, and this well-written, organized, compact, fact-laden bio certainly delineates the many varied, complex, and breathtakingly simple reasons for that endurance. My recommendation is to buy this along with 'Come Be My Light' -- the collection of Teresa's letters to her spiritual directors published posthumously. Read the bio first for the facts and then delve into the mystery of her spiritual greatness via the letters.

Loved this book
I read this during my morning time over the last month or so. It was inspirational, and what I learned stayed with me as I went about my day.

Mother of India
This was an interesting book if all you wanted to know was what Mother Teresa did for building helpful Christian communities around the world. It also gave the reader information about the important people she met and how involved she was involved in achieving some changes in the Catholic Church's involvement with helping the "poorest of the poor."What wasn't in the book was the information about who this woman really was..What made her decide to become a nun? What did the warrring environment of her country have on her decisions? How did she feel about her experiences with these poor people that she served? I wanted to know the "MOTHER" in a more intimate way.In the end it is evident that she loved Jesus and served him well. She deserves the tributes that she received.

Something beautiful for God
An AMAZINGLY inspiring book that inspires through the UNBELIEVABLE life, heart and work of a normal human being who chose to do small things at a super-human pace and intensity, fuelled by her love for Jesus... just by reading this book, my love for and awareness Jesus and those in need grew immensely...

True Humility!!!
This has to be one of the best books I have ever read. I first read it for school and then just for pleasure. She was one of the true humanitariians who did not see race, color, or religous barriers. She cared for the sick and the poor regardless. She would never turn anyone away and gave peace and dignity to the dying. This book is a very good read and worth the time. It will brighten your heart to see all that she did on so little but faith.
