For Hangovers, Stomach Bugs and Lifeโs Poor Decisions
A cupboard essential. Iโve used this after stomach bugs and the occasional hangover-induced regret, and itโs always handy to have around. Dissolves easily, tastes much better than expected and helps when youโre feeling dehydrated. Not a product you want to need, but one youโre glad to have when you do.

Life Saver
Ordered these for a foreign holiday and boy am I glad I did. There's nothing worse than sitting round a pool, knocking back the cocktails then feeling last night's local cuisine knocking on your back door ready for a swift exit. After a rush back to the hotel room and an explosive visit to the loo I decided to give a sachet a try. Chuck in a glass, add some water and give it a stir. The powder dissolves easily and actually tastes alright. After about an hour or two, you can really feel the effects. No longer are there concerns of a follow through, but peace of mind! Very effective and a high quality product. My guts could not recommend highly enough.

Ideal for the traveller
I take several packs of these with me when we are travelling, particularly when we go off the beaten track in places like India. We have found them useful if we get an upset tummy to replace lost salts. We find them particularly useful when we combine them with macrobitic capsules and if we have to use them, anti diarrhoea capsules and Cipro! We have found that however careful you are with what you eat, hand washing etc, sometimes you catch bugs when travelling which you would not normally encounter at home. This product is nice an lightweight to carry and I tend to always have a couple of sachets with me as particularly in places like India, the onset of an upset tummy can be very rapid. The combination of hot weather, repeated trips to the loo etc can make you feel extremely unwell very quickly. On these occasions, I find that this product is invaluable at keeping me hydrated until the attack is over - even taking over a number of days. The flavour is ok, although be prepared for the salty aftertaste: for children diluting it further can help and in severe circumstances, I have diluted it 4-5 times greater than what is recommended - ensuring that you keep your fluids up is arguably far more important than replacing the salts. A great product, light and compact to carry and when used in a regime of prevention, rehydration, treatment when required, they can make an uncomfortable experience somewhat more tolerable.

particularly the feeling that I was constantly thirsty but it seemed like water was just going right through me
Several years ago while on a camping trip in a remote and extremely arid area, I developed a migraine headache and could not shake it for over 24 hours. A camp mate over heard me describing my discomfort to a friend, particularly the feeling that I was constantly thirsty but it seemed like water was just going right through me. My campmate gave me a sachet of dioralyte and directed me to mix it with some juice. 30 minutes later my migraine was gone completely. Ever since then I use this stuff when battling a migraine, and when feeling dehydrated and find it far more effective than other electrolyte powders and drinks I have tried.

Read the ingredients
Dioralyte contains: Sodium Chloride 0.47g Potassium Chloride 0.30g Glucose 3.56g Disodium Hydrogen Citrate 0.53g Silicon Dioxide Saccharin Sodium Blackcurrent Flavoring I would never knowingly buy anything with saccharin in it. Potassium Chloride is a common form of potassium found in many vitamins. It is also one of the three ingredients in the lethal injections used in executions. In vitamins it is limited to 99mg for this reason. You certainly can make Independant choices. I wanted to provide information that might be helpful as you make this decision.
