So I bet on new AC Delco. Figure it’s a crap shoot so why not save some cash on a “traditionally solid” brand instead of reman house brand. Worked right away. No noises, 14.4 volts. I am satisfied with this purchase. No comment on longevity…my 2003 Suburban 5.3 got 201,000 out of the original Delco!!! I love my truck. If this gives me trouble I’ll update my post. Just really don’t like house brand remanufacturing Hope this helps others out. I don’t see parts suppliers improving…so this is my logic for keeping my truck on the road.. Pics of new one, pics of old one. For perfectly. Never grind ears down. Tap the spacers towards the front of the truck once you pry old alt out. Then new alt slips in easy. Tightening the two bolts will bring spacers back tight against alt. It’s a great system! Chevy built great drivelines in 2000-2006.
