If i have trigger wire, do I still connect the other ends red wire to a power source?

The way I understand it, the trigger wire on a head unit is an input so that it knows when to display the camera. I would think that you would connect both the camera's power and the trigger wire to your brake light

Can this camera be rotated 90 degrees within its housing for mounting on the side of a 5th wheel trailer looking back?

NO,The camera is packed into the case with a sealant.But you NO NEED to rotate 90 degrees within its housing to look back. There is a small purple wire/loop next to camera,just cut it,and power on again,then the image will rotate 90 degrees,and you get a correct image.

Is this on all the time or can it be turned off inside the Chevy Colorado truck
