Memories
Since I grew up in the Groveton area and attended school in the Groveton area, I was amazed to see how Groveton came to be and what it was like before I moved to the area in the late '50's. Groveton has a vast array of history behind it which needs to be told to all who have lived in the area and to all who have just moved to the Groveton area.

Good historical read of a forgotten community along "Historical Route One" in Fairfax County, Virginia.
My husband and I grew up in the Groveton community and attended its schools and churches. Our families have a history in the area as well -- dating back to the 1930s. So much has changed and it's good to revisit how things were. I miss some of the old haunts; most especially the Dixie Pig and their pork barbeque. I would recommend the book to those that grew up in the area and to those that now make the Groveton community and Fairfax County, Virginia, their home.

Useful for moving to Hybla Valley and Groveton Virginia
As a newcomer to the area, this book serves as a great guide. The dozens of photos from an earlier time give us a better perspective on how things were.

I grew up there.
I grew up there 60 years ago. Loved the pictures and so much information I hadn't heard before.

Loved this book
I was familiar with this area and therefore, I was interested in what was in this book. It certainly didn't disappoint.
