Nice! Silent, easy to set up and use.
I loaded this MI531 (6100T chip) with 16gb of RAM, a 256GB M2 drive, and a 480GB SSD. It was easy to install all these components. The installation of Win 7 and the drivers were easy, especially when compared to the ASUS UN65H minis. I learned this the hard way. I do basic surfing and play Amazon Prime to a HDTV. It's great! Yes, the reviewer who discussed breaking the warranty seal to install the M2 drive is correct. As there is no way around it I can't see how ZOTAC can get antsy about it. It is quiet/silent and does what it is supposed to do. If there can be a criticism, it would be nice to have mouse functionality in BIOS. One thing I do like is that it is easy to replace the cooling fan if it fails. Unfortunately I was not given anything to write this review.

My Third ZBox and Disappointed with this one (M551)
Just received my latest ZBox and after an hour I find this is the most underwhelmed I have been with any ZBox. I ordered the MI551 with 16 GB of memory and a 250 GB M.2 SSD.First issue was when I opened the computer to install the memory and M.2 drive. No problem with the memory, but according to the manual, the SSD has to go under the fan, that has a sticker across one of the fan mounting screws that declares the warranty is void if broken -- yes this is one of the very screws the manual tells you to undo to install the M.2. After removing the fan I find the SSD is relatively easy to install, however as I did not order any heat paste and none was included, I had to reinstall the fan with the existing paste, not good.Second issue was getting the system to install Windows 10 from my USB stick, after much fiddling with the bios settings, I finally got it to boot after changing the settings from UEFI to Legacy boot, should not have to do that. The last issue was my miss, I did not read the listing close enough to realize that the WiFi adapter in this PARTICULAR ZBox model does not include the bluetooth radio, now I have to did up a bluetooth dongle someplace to get my keyboard and mouse working.I will return to update the review after I spend a few days with the box, but at this point I can only see the rating go down.

Not recommended.
Order one to use as a Linux box. Was able to configure and install. Came back from lunch to a computer that had gone to sleep. Attempted to wake it up and couldn't. Got a 1-4 beep pattern, swapped SSD and SO-DIMMs to no avail. System was non-recoverable. Returned. Not recommended.

This can make a zippy little PC.
I built it with 8gb of RAM and a 120GB SSD and am using it with Ubuntu. Assembeld it on my coffee table in about 20 minutes. The only issue i had when building it was that it was a little tricky to get the RAM installed--not sure why. I like it a lot except for two things that I find irritating. 1) there is a light on the front of the box that is always on. It is green when it is turned on and red when it is turned off. The red light seems unecessary. Also, i wish the 3.5mm sound output jack was on the back of the machine. I've been using it for 3 months and haven't had any problems. Great product and seems well made.

Fantastic PfSense Box
Acquire this unit as a home firewall replacement. We are a family of computer users with more than a dozen connected devices in the home. Our ISP offers 400Mbps+ download. This box handles pfsense with a full suite of add-ons and extensions without issue. Even with concurrent live streams, FPS video games, and other devices actively pushing and pulling data, this box never breaks a sweat.

Trouble with CPU fan starting up.
I'm impressed with the Zotac MI547 nano overall. Although I'm a little disappointed with the intel 620 gpu, after 2 minutes of play with Civ 5 everything came to a slow crawl. This is with all setting at minimum. I noticed that the case got very hot. I ended up downloading some software apps and found the CPU fan never turns on. Using the "Speedfan" app I was manually able to get the fan running after a reboot. Now the case stays cooler and the Civ 5 game is playable. Also I contacted tech support about HDCP 2.2 for streaming 4K Netflix they said yes, it is not documented that it can, only later versions of the Intel 620 supports this. There is a BIOS update that addresses it for blue-ray.

If you need a space saver unit with all the ...
If you need a space saver unit with all the things you will ever need in a computer, and you want the monitor of your choice thenthis is all you need. It has more ports (DP, HDMI, USB 3.1,GBLAN) than you can shake a stick at, and it has WIFI+BT connectivity: what more do you need?

Works great as a firewall!
Using these for Untangle firewalls. So far it works well with Untangle. I have not installed any other OS on these nor have I ran any "speed" tests. Does the job that I initially purchased them for.
