Simple, great for the price
I bought this for my older dog to have a snack during the day to help his acid reflux )and I didn’t need one with a camera and a microphone, lol). It worked so well that I bought a second for our other dog. It is perfect for what we needed. It is simple and easy to use and super easy to keep clean. Only 2 things are important to note: the ice pack is small and thin, so if you need fresh food to stay chilled for more than 2 hours this is not the feeder for you (we only use it for dry snacks) and when the battery is low you don’t really know, it just stops running. We use it on days we are both gone for 6+ hours and one day the first feeder didn’t open because the battery died. At a later time when we were gone overnight I put a fresh battery in to be sure it would open. I think they are great and serve the purpose well. Thumbs up. :)

Great simple product that works as expected, but hard to be precise with timer.
This product worked surprisingly well. My expectations were low because of the price, but it does exactly what it is supposed to.Our cats both were able to eat from it when it opened in the morning, and had to work a little harder than they do when eating from their regular bowl, but I actually thought that was a good thing. Our cats both have flat faces, so many food bowls make it challenging for them to eat from but they didn't really have any difficulties with this. The reason for only four stars, is that I bought two because we have two cats, but the timer is just a simple analog timer, a dial that you turn to set how many hours until the lid opens. It is difficult to be precise with this which is an issue for us because if they don't both open at the same time, one cat will eat from the first to open and then wait for the second and eat that too, leaving nothing for the second cat. If they open at the same time, they both get a chance because they are not in the same location. If you have just one cat, or cats that share (I doubt it), and all you need is something cheap and simple to open on a timer, then I definitely recommend this product. I have tried three for three days now to set the timer so that both open around about the same time but they are always at least 5 minutes apart so I will probably try one of the more expensive feeders that has more precise control over the timer. We did not use the included ice pack (under the lift-out tray) but were happy that it was included in case we wanted to use wet food. Since we didn't use it, I don't know how effective this product is at keeping wet food cold.

Timer is Highly Inaccurate
I bought this product to be able to feed two cats at exactly the same time. I tested it multiple times to make sure that this was possible, and unfortunately this pet feeder did not hold up.I was only ever able to get the timers to sync up perfectly 1 out of probably 10 times. When a full 48 hours is jammed into notches on a tiny timer, it makes it very difficult to select the time you actually want. Thankfully, I tested this product before using it or my cats would’ve been fighting over one meal until the other compartment opened 15-30 minutes later. If your pet is not on specifically timed meals, then this product might work for you. I don’t think I would use it for more than one pet or if you need it to work at an exact time. Unfortunately, I will have to return it.

Exactly what I needed
My cat eats all the food you give her at once and this was causing digestive issues especially when I'd get home from work, so I wanted some way to schedule midday and midnight snacks for her and this has worked great. She isn't destructive or so food-motivated that she's tried to break into it as other reviewers have had issues with so I can't address that aspect, but when I get home, she isn't so desperate for supper it's all she can think about AND over the last few days, she's finally learned that the snap of the lid opening means food so she isn't waking me up in the middle of the night.UPDATE: I've had this for almost exactly a year and it's still works great. I even dropped it once and piece broke off and it's still going fine. Same batteries as when I started using it. A real little workhorse life-saver. If you need precise timing, this isn't for you. You can get it to the time you want it to open-ISH. My cat has relaxed a lot about feeding too because of the reliable midday / midnight snack this provides. It's nice and simple and easy to use for one meal at a time situations.

Flawed but gets the job done
Very few automatic feeders look like a good place for wet food, despite what’s advertised. Our cat eats prescription wet food and her medications make her ravenous at night, so we only needed a feeder with a single tray to save us having to get up and fix her “midnight snack” every night. This one gets the job done, but just barely. The timer is wildly imprecise, such that I never set it above 2 hours or else it doesn’t open all night long. This thing ticks constantly, like an obnoxiously loud wall clock, so I’d advise against putting it in your bedroom. The cold pack that comes with it is a nice touch, but it doesn’t keep anything cold for more than an hour or two (fine for us, but maybe not for everyone). It’s battery-operated but there is no clear way of knowing when the batteries are low or dead, and you may wake up to find it hasn’t opened and that’s why your cat is tormenting you.

Simple, works, but with flaws
Why is the ice pack so tiny? It’s a simple pop top wind up feeder. It does constantly tick like a timer or the other option is to take the battery out.The winding mechanism is loose so once you wind it, you can’t really tell if it’s 5 hours or 8 hours so that’s not ideal. The ice pack is microscopic. If you need to keep wet food cold, this is not the one for you. After 6 hours the ice pack was warm. I’m trying with a ziplock bag of water to see if it’s any better. If not, might need to get a different one. An ice pack twice the size and width could fit in the tray. Very lazy.
