Lots of bars were mouldy when opened! Very disappointed.
I am really disappointed with these bars as we’ve had to discard one out of two due to them being mouldy when opened. We have stored them in a cool dark place. Amazon need to look at their sell by dates as well. These expire this month and we only received the carton in the last couple of months!

Shortdated & Mouldy
Product keeps coming up as non refundable as it is a good item, but it is not fit for Purpose?!? 🤢🤮 Used to love these bars, absolutely disgusted at having nearly half eaten bar then discovering mould spores!?!? I tried to contact Trek directly but no response?!

TREK Protein Flapjacks: Deliciously Perfect
I love these TREK Protein Flapjacks, especially the Morning Berry - they are perfect for when I'm feeling hungry. Made by the same company who make the Nakd fruit and nut bars (Natural Balance Foods), you know that they are made from 100% natural ingredients. Although I did find these flapjacks cheaper in some supermarkets, be careful as they are only 40 gram and not the 50 gram that you get from Amazon. You can notice them quite easily, they are the ones where you get four in a box for approximately £2.50 which works out 36 for £22.50. With them being only 40 gram, they won't be as filling and contain as much protein as the 50 gram. I usually buy the boxes of 16 from Amazon rather than the multipack as there's far less packaging, but these are currently much cheaper in terms of unit price - £14.99 for 16 (0.94 pence each) compared to £22.62 for 36 (0.63 pence each) at time of writing. Note: With the prices on both of these items often changing by as much as 30%, always check the unit price on each before buying. Sometimes buying the box(es) of 16 works out cheaper per unit than the multipack and vice versa. Checking the prices on both items and doing some simple maths will save you paying more per flapjack than you need to. UPDATE: Some reviewers have indicated that they have received short-dated and mouldy items. The three multipack cases that I received from Amazon in October and November 2021 are absolutely fine. Two have the Best Before date of the 27th June 2022 and one the 5th September 2022. All three cases have been opened and there is no signs of mould on the product. As for the lack of response from Natural Balance Foods, I cannot comment as I have never had the need to contact them. If you do receive short-dated and/or mouldy items from Amazon, contact them immediately. Note: This item is refundable if requested within the return window. This update was added to the review on the 6th January 2022. Update 10th November 2022: I have received a full refund for two multipack cases due to my most recent purchase having very short Best Before dates. Amazon really need to look into this issue as it's not just this product that is affected, the tea bags that I received this week and crisps a few months ago also had short dates. I have deducted two stars given this finding.
