Explain Pain

absolutely wonderful; everything explained in a down to earth manner which made total sense which in turn has lead me to being able to manage my pain. I have lent this to another friend who has chronic pain and she's just listened to it a second time, I'm waiting to get it back so i can listen to it again. I find listening to audio books useful when I am driving.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand pain especially if they suffer from chronic pain of any kind.It is informative, intelligent yet easy to understand and I love the humour of the drawings. Although it is expensive it is well worth having your own copy to help in the management of pain.

Very usefull metaphors in my work as a physio, and i also recommend this book to my patients! If Heath Care in general managed to explain and educate their patients after the essence of this book, i Think the World would be a better place for many people in pain, and help coping with THEIR pain!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOK ON THE TOPIC OF EXPLAINING PAIN ON A VERY BASIC AND SOMETIMES EVEN FUNNY LEVEL. iT'S EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ALL PHYSIOTHERAPISTS AND TO EVREBODY WHO WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND PAIN AND IT'S WAYS OF WORKING.IT'S A GREAT, GREAT BOOK!

After suffering 38 years of pain after breaking my back in a fall I'm attending a course on the management of chronic pain where the book "Explain Pain" is the main teaching text, and all I can say is at a cost of £[] this book is worth every penny.

Easy read and helps explain pain in different ways even to the lay person. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in learning about pain.
