They work great when first installed but don't take much to get dings / knicts in the blade. which then leaves a streak a crossed the board. If you can afford a Shelix Spiral head do it.

I haven't mounted yet but inspection of the blades tells me they are well machine, honed and sharp.

These are no better than the factory blades like they claim they are. After running about 4 or 5 boards through with a quarter turn on the machine which is not even 1/32" they are already leaving lines so they chipp very easy just like the OEM blades. I will buy carbide tipped blades from now on or upgrade to a helical head.

So far so good. Time will tell as to the life of the blades.

I bought these due to the fact all Dewalt blades are now made in China and thus they are junk or last 1/4 as long as the original blades and still cost $55. These are about the same but only cost mid $30 (correction, they are now $45). they fit well and they are 20% less money so if you have this planer and are not willing to buy a helical cutter head and carbide blades made in America, buy these blades. Mine however did not make it past the first 6 cuts on a new 3 inch wide and 3 foot long piece of lowes white wood before they developed lines/ridges in the cut. Never DeWalt again and that just happened with a Bosch router versus Dewalt. In fact, never any tool made in China as they are all junk. Unfortunately even the Bosch is made in Mexico but Mexico is better made than China! Sure wish somebody made these in America. By the way, I just ordered the American made replacement helical head. These planer blades are priced right. They fit well. Sharp out of the box on both sides of the blade. I’m not expecting much life out of these blades, but you can’t complain for the price. Made in China.
