A Near-perfect Way to Mount Bookshelf Speakers to the Wall
I recently bought a pair of these speaker wall mounts from here on Amazon so I could mount my trusty old pair of BIC America DV62si bookshelf speakers up high on the wall and out of the way of everything else. I'm remodeling my computer room and a I'm going for a clean, contemporary look, or a more modern look, so to speak. Along with the speakers mounted to the wall, I also mounted my HDTV to the wall using a wall mount that I had in storage, and just below it I installed a new wall mount DVD stand. Now, I'll be able to hide all the cables behind the DVD stand that before were sticking out and running around everywhere. Again, I'm going for a clean, clutter-free look.As for the wall mounts themselves, yeah, they are pretty good. For the low price, you really can't go wrong here. They look great and have a very good quality to them. The parts are either heavy duty stamped steel or high quality plastic. The supplied hardware is good quality stuff too. Impressive.Design-wise, the wall mounts are very simple--very practical. They were easy to install, and they work quite well. Installation to the wall studs was a breeze. It took me about an hour to do everything including mounting the speakers to the speaker clamps themselves. Once finished, you can then rotate the speakers left to right, and/or tilt up and down to get them pointing in the direction you want. There was just enough down-tilting adjustment to get my speakers nearly pointing right at me while sitting down 11 feet away. Left-right rotation is far greater than up-down tilting, for good reason; you don't want to tilt your speakers too far forward, getting too top heavy and potentially come lose from the clamps.Speaking of the speaker clamps. If there is anything to complain about, it IS the speaker clamps. They could be a little bit better designed. I had to screw one screw into each speaker as part of the clamping procedure. I wish I didn't have to do this (drill holes into my speakers) but I was afraid that one or both of the speakers would have come loose some day and fall seven feet straight to the ground, hitting stuff on the way down. I nearly gave these wall speaker mounts a four star rating because of this, but then I remembered their low price. So Fives Stars. And Highly Recommended.

Works great as a Center Speaker Mount as well!
Works Great as a Center Speaker Mount as well! I have one PAIR used to mount the center channel. I have the center speaker mounted above the TV so I wanted to be able to tilt the center speaker downward just a bit toward the viewers. I had a need for solid mounts for my Hsu 5.1 system, which is an awesome system and definitely an amazing value for the price. They don't really advertise so a lot of the buzz around the speakers is by word of mouth.Anyways, you need the pair to get the mount working for a long center speaker and you lose the ability to rotate the speaker, but you can tilt the speaker which is what I needed. For reference purposes, the center speaker I own is a little over 23" long and weighs about 25 pounds and the two mounts are supporting it without issue. I did use blue tack sticker glue to really secure the speaker to the two mounts, but honestly, the screw/clamp mechanism is quite secure and you'll likely not need the blue tack sticker glue stuff. I do regret it a little bit, because the speaker is now really, really stuck to the two mounts and I'll need to disassemble the rotating parts of the mount to remove it from the mounts! So, if you use blue tack, prepare for it to be really stuck in that position unless you pull off the rotating aspect of the mount to try to pull the speaker off of them.I had a few of the mounts where I used the True Grip drywall anchor system to mount them since there were no conveniently located studs. If mounted to the studs, I bet these mounts could easily hold 50-60 pounds, they are very, very sturdy. With the true grip triple action drywall anchor system, I would hesitate going over 25-30 pounds, just so you have a fair margin of safety for each mount.I have the Hsu bookshelf speakers mounted on these as well secured to studs and also using drywall anchors and everything is very solid.Pretty hard to beat the price on amazon for these very versatile mounts and with prime shipping, you get it in one or two days!FYI, the TV below is the 65" LG OLED B6P, which is a beaut! Definitely a lot of value for this TV if you are thinking OLED as its more expensive siblings do almost nothing in terms of increasing visual fidelity or picture quality.
