I purchased this for a family member who is not tech savy and loaded it with video and music. Since the device accepts micro sd cards, I can update content for them, without taking away their device. The video plays well on the screen. The sound quality is ok, but headphones or plugged into a radio is best. It can hook to a t.v., but the cable is not included. I had one from an old digital camera that worked, but the screen on the device went blank when you switched to t.v. mode, which is odd for a device with touch screen controls, but it also has physical buttons that work for navigating. So, it was just weird to have to switch how you control the device. Overall, it is a great device for the price. Review: Great price for an OK device. - You get what you pay for with this device. The 8gb storage is awesome and it has a very nice little display with decent sound. Over about volume 25 the sound isn't great if its music, but for movies it works fine. We got two of these for our kids (5 and 9) and they love them. It seems to play most movies, from avi, mkv, even flv from youtube. Very impressive. The downsides are the controls. The touch and tap controls are about useless. It never seems to play the video or song we tap. The wheel on the side gets stuck all the time and when you try and push it in to select something it scrolls. Instead, the off-standard size made it impossible to find a sport sleeve it would fit into. The manufacturer is Chinese and the player had multitudes of indecipherable apps and functions written only in Chinese. The instructions page was not helpful and the website was even less helpful. Then after 3 days of shopping everywhere and finally finding a phone case that would suffice as a a holder to use while exercising, the thing just died. Not that the battery was dead. NO. It was dead. Couldn't be detected when hooked to the computer. Couldn't be charged. Dead. My advice?
