Not very well made, blades don't hold their sharp, stitching guide is wobbly... The thread is nice though.

I needed some tools for both leather work and working with my mixed media art with fabrics, leathers, paper and cardboard. These tools will work great for both. Everything is exactly as expected. Anything that should be sharp is, the metal quality on everything is good. The leather skeeving tool even comes with extra blades to change out as needed. The scissors are amazing, they are sharp and oiled well so they will last a good while before needing to be sharpened again and definitely cut through the leather so nicely! Anything with wood handles is smooth and sturdy as well. This is quality kit that is built well and will last some time. If you are looking to get into leather work this is a good starter kit for you to have the right things on hand to do your work. The 6 in 1 hole punches just bam right through any of the paper, cardboard and leather I tried it on. I've played with a few sets of these types of punches and not all of them work this well and smoothly! Since they work so well make sure you are using it on a surface you don't mind getting damaged as thinner materials they may go completely though. I use them on a self healing mat I already have. All this kit is missing is the leather!

So let me start by saying that the product is amazing. My father and I got into leather working but had limited tools at our disposal and were improvising a lot of our equipment. When we bought the tool set and it was like night and day. All the tools were sturdy and working with them is a pleasure. We're somewhat beginners in the leather crafting community but I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a decent set of tools especially since each tool has a description on how to use it.

My husband works with leather on a regular basis making knife sheaths out of some very tough leather so I purchased this tool set for him. I have to say that the tools are very well made and sturdy. The scissors were my favorite and I am currently trying to sneak those for myself. They are sharp and cut easily through the leather even when tight cornering was needed. My husband loves the curved needles, prong punch and the edge creaser and those are only the ones he has given a workout to. These tools will get heavy use and I believe they will hold up to it. Very nice set.

In plain English, I'm not a leather worker and I don't know diddle about it. The janitor at our church is a leather worker and I bought it for him as a gift. His comments it is a professional quality kit. He went through all the ways the SIMPZIA kit was better than most. I won't try to pretend I know what he was talking about. I will say a leather worker with many years of experience was tickled with it.

Most of everything in here was okay quality. The curved sewing needles Didnt last long sewing thru leather and after a few uses they snapped. The awl stitching awl supplied was bent in various places and the awl pick was not set properly in the handle. Most of the retaining caps for the bevelers came off and I had to glue them back in place. The twist punch I thought was made well but when I was properly using it, one of the threaded clasps that hold the punch bit in place gave way and snapped off even when the threaded cap even held everything in place.Honestly I dont know what I was expecting to be fair.

Bad: some of the tool handles could have a bit better craftsmanship. One of the handles was especially bad. Wish seller would replace the Skiving KnifeGood: Great little set to get started with. Defenitely get what you pay for but most things are pretty good quality. Time will tell if they are durable.

I am always looking for a new DIY kit when it comes to crafting and household repairs. I was excited to get this set , it is perfect for beginners in leather work all the essentials minus the leather of course. All the tools seem to be made well nothing flimsy and extra blades are always good. I like that it comes with 3 different colored canvas threading to work with multi colors well. Over all pleased with quality of this leather working set.
