Making Small Workshop Tools (Workshop Practice)

This is a good book for home machinist and especially machinist apprentices. Simple projects that will help all who read and follow the directions.

Complete except for info on a machinest's Square! But, those are almost around to be bought, though, most companies are not feeding the needs of hobbyist machinists...

A great series. I collected them all. Really a once-read book but I got a lot of good ideas and information from it.

I like this book. Like my previous review, I bought the book, not simply because I wanted to build the tools, but as a source of exercises, to periodically build the tools and maintain my skill set. That is one of the major points of the book, not just to build the tools, but to build them to a very high degree of precision, fit & finish.

This is not one of the gems of the series. The tools described are indeed small and simple. The writing style is not especially clear.Try "Simple Workshop Devices" by Tubal Cain or "Model Engineer's Workshop Projects" by Harold Hall for something with a little more meat.

Great book with a lot of information.

Many of the tools are useful for anyone using lathes. The dimensioned drawings are clear. The book is only 95 pages but packed with useful ideas.

The book arrived promptly and well packaged, with correct postage pre-paid. The explanations and examples are well done for even the novice, me, to understand. I've just got my first set of tools made and I intend to complete the book and make all of the examples, to embed my workshop practices before embarking on my main retirement project.
