Tablescapes: Setting the Table with Style

This is a lovely book, arrived a bit dog eared which was a shame, luckily it was not a gift, it was for me!The table settings in here are beautiful, but none for most of us who only have white china, I think I was looking for more centerpiece ideas as I don't have all the different plates and cutlery shown in here. To be honest, I have not read all the text yet, so that might give me some more ideas. I'll update the review later.

Not as thorough as I thought. Photos were okay but not breathtaking. Very mundane book

Whereas the author's previous book "The Pleasure of Your Company' may be over the top and seem a bit impossible for the average hostess, this book is more realistic. It's chocked full of ideas for tablesettings for a wide variety of occassions, settings and budgets. It also has the personal touch in that many of the tablesettings were planned for family events or parties honoring close friends.

Book was supposed to be in new condition but cover was discolored and looked like it had a splash or spill on it. There was a note included that said if I was not satisfied I could retuen the book but it was ordered for a gift and i would not have had the time to get another to replace it so I just kept it. I would not use this seller again. I should have been notified of the imperfection before shipping. Email is quick and easy, no excuse for not letting me know.

This is a great book with innovative ideas for a beautiful table and entertaining with flair. It was given as a gift to my niece and she loved it, it inspired her to make a table with holiday themes and go the extra mile when she entertained.

This book is informative and very entertaining.

This was given as an approach to help a new chef in what a table setting is.It worked, and had many photos on how to do.

Very helpful wood recommend. Use it for my business and teaching young students proper manors in setting table service. Everyone should know this information.
