Canon LIDE300 Scanner (Black)

I never used a scanner before but bought it because i needed it.. absolutely best scanner.. very easy to setup and use.. Really really fast and good quality scans.. I thought there won't be much difference between camscanner scanned copies in phone vs these scanners.. but the quality is high class.. The price is very very reasonable.. lightweight scanner

After my humble HP Scanjet 2400 stopped working after 10 years, I bought Canon LIDE300 from Amazon after a little bit of research. I needed a budget scanner with the best possible performance. And I am not disappointed. I do mostly color scanning and it has been two months since I have been using it. Here is a detailed review about things I wish I had known before:PROS:1. Good scanning speed. I do most of my color scanning at 600 dpi and it is pretty fast.2. I am an artist and color reproduction is very important, and this scanner does a very good job.3. The USB cord is sufficiently long.4. The scan quality is very good. The images are crisp and highly detailed.5. Compared to many other scanners it is definitely value for money.6. Works very well with third-party softwares.CONS:1. It is very noisy!2. Even though I use a third-party software, when I tried to install this scanner's own software and driver, it didn't work and gave me lot of trouble and I gave up after a few attempts. This is a major con if you do not want to use a third-party software.3. If the photo is even 1mm above the glass, it will be blurred. The photo or the document needs to be completely flat and touching the glass. This was never a problem in my old scanner.4. The build material seems slightly cheap, but it makes up for it with the scan quality. So it is a good tradeoff.5. The lid does not completely come off, though it elevates sufficiently to scan books and magazines.6. This is a very specific con, and might not be a concern for many, but if you are scanning a picture, magazine, or newspaper which was folded at some point or has a crease, then that crease area is very prominently visible in the scans. This was never a problem with my old scanner as it lit the scanning area in such a way that the folds were never visible. I am still trying to find a solution for this and if I find it I will update the review.

Good product

It was a Cannon Scanner Lide 300. This was a replace for another scanner, which was not working. Even this scanner did not work. I have give it to the local authorised cannon Service center to seek further replacement. Very bad experience and lost a lot of precious time

It's actual rate is in between Rs.4000 to 4500 but rate in Amazon is high but the scanner is good and easy to used. I brought it but exactly i year it was not working means hard wear problem arises ie Not working Error 2,156,33I got this scanner, first I received so please don't buy this type scanner from online

Easy to install and easy to use. Works fine for A4 size scanning. But not sufficient for A3 and Legal size papers. The Stitch option for joining two scans of large size does not work so well.

The product works fine. If the scanning process was faster ,it would have been the cherry on the top.
