Four Sigmatic Mushroom Lemonade with Activated Charcoal and Chaga - Detox & Digest - 100 gram - 20 servings

For starters, I'd like to say that the Four Sigmatic mushroom golden latte, the hot cocoa mix, and the chai latte from this company, are awesome. Especially the hot cocoa mix! That being said, I sit here wondering what the hell they were thinking when they created this charcoal lemonade? Had they smoked too many mushrooms and thought,"Hey, let's make some black mushroom lemonade and see who buys it? Oh, and let's charge a small fortune for it so people think it's really good." Well, this fool fell for it. Yes, I admit that it sounds unusual, but the health benefits they boast and the "refreshing summer drink" they describe, is a true stretch. (Think, Stretch Armstrong, kind of a stretch). Perhaps the health benefits are there, but when a product tastes this "off," it's hard to call it refreshing or beneficial. And the cherry on top? Well, if you spill this stuff on anything, INSTANT STAIN! As in, don't even bother trying Spray and Wash! That goes for your mouth too, although the black all over your tongue and teeth eventually go away, so please don't feel the need to Spray and Wash your mouth, although it might taste better than this charcoal crap. If you still feel the need to give this a go, heed this warning: DO NOT... I repeat, DO NOT drink this in a light-colored suit, or bring this "refreshing" drink to a morning meeting. If you manage to avoid spilling on yourself, do the rest of the people in that meeting a favor and keep your mouth shut. Do not speak! Do not smile! Do not open your mouth under any circumstances, or the gasps and open mouth stares will abound. Ever eat licorice ice cream around Halloween? Or suck on a black jawbreaker? Just saying... You've been warned.

I was initially attracted to this product because mushrooms offer so many health benefits. Even though I cook with them often, I am always looking for ways to incorporate them more in my diet. Plus, I try to make sure that the drinks I consume regularly are healthy and contain no sugar. I wasn't sure how this would taste, but I loved it! It's the perfect level of sweetness - a bit tart with just a touch of sweetness (which is derived from natural monkfruit, btw). And it doesn't have a funny aftertaste at all, like you might expect if you heard it had mushrooms in it. I find it to be incredibly refreshing to sip on over ice. The charcoal is also debloating, making this a great drink for those days where you may have indulged too much. Being that there's charcoal in it, it is black, just like any other charcoal drink out there. I usually use a straw when drinking it. I love it!

As I’m learning and testing new functional foods out to benefit both beauty and health, I figured I’d try this one.I was excited to try this Mushroom Lemonade mix for a few reasons. 1) it’s challenging to drink down my plain activated charcoal (and even scooping/measuring it out of my 1 lb bag. is a bitch) 2.) I wanted to ADD more Functional Mushrooms to the ones I already use in my superfoods shake, and it’s also a bit difficult to take due to the flavor. 3) I’d like to say I am a Nutritional Angel, but I’d be lying, because ...BALANCE AF, so there are often times I need a quick way to detox from something I ate the night before or after a trip (like all the jason I had in Madrid last week)…So when I say I am excited that this one has a deliciously tangy flavor, and for its detoxifying and beautifying elements it’s an understatement, fo’ sho’!

I thoroughly enjoy other Four Sigmatic products, but this one left me wondering why it exists at all. Ok, I admit that I'm spoiled when it comes to lemonade because I have my own lemon tree, so I'm a tough room when it comes to lemon flavored products. That said, for flavor in this really fell flat. It was more sweet than lemony, and the charcoal was a real PITA to deal with. It makes a hellish mess if you spill it, and it's almost impossible not to when you first open the container. When I tried mixing the black powder into a glass of water, there were these bubbles that would NOT go away, even when I used an immersion blender to try mixing everything thoroughly. And the residue left on the glass is a hassle to clean.If you feel the need to ingest charcoal in the belief that it will somehow cleanse your system, by all means spend your money on this product. I would much rather sip some chai.

I’m not really sure what to expect of this product! Too black and stains my mouth and tongue. I saw this product advertised by Dr. Mona for weight loss but that’s not the product itself promoting! The customer service is amazing and did not want me to even send the product back and offered a full refund, which I really feel bad as I was really hoping to make this product part of my diet regimen!

this charcoal chaga lemonade is amazing. this little gem allows you to replace existing coffee with healthier, no/low sugar, dairy-free, mushroom powered options which has been perfect for me as i’m almost four years coffee free. for years i've been looking at something else to help keep me coffee free and this has been the perfect addition to my daily routine. i love how i just need water and 2 scoops of this and its perfect. this is going to be perfect during the hot summer months and using this instead of regular lemonade is going to be great as ive been trying to be healthier and have less sugar as well.

Interesting product taste mostly like a lemonade and it is not to sugary or contain a lot of sugar. You do a scoop or two and mix it with water. The color of the drink is black. The powder is fine and dissolves easily. Lots of health benefits. It is also vegan.

I had only ever tried Four Sigmatic's warm-drink blends, but this Mushroom Lemonade is also an interesting and fun choice from them! The black color is very potent, but I did like that I felt like I was enjoying a sweet lemonade while also receiving the detox benefits from the supercharged ingredients.
