**Q: Can you use this to hang a ukelele also, or only a guitar?**

**Q: will the body of the guitar rest against the wall when hanging from this, or will it be completely aloft?**
A: Im sure it depends on the body of your guitar.  My acustic 12 string is a half inch from the wall but mt eletric bass is 2 inches from the wall.

**Q: does this hold a classical guitar?**
A: No, it is too narrow. It does not hold a classical guitar. It's made for an acoustic.

**Q: does it hold guitars really good?**
A: Yes, "really good".  I have $5,000 guitars hanging from them, and I'm not in the least bit concerned.

I was debating these vs the locking ones and decided to go with these. I made the right choice. They look lovely, hold instruments with various shapes and sizes of head, and have a non foam surface which is supposedly better for more delicate finishes (none of my guitars have nitro finishes but it’s nice to know that these will be safe(r)). Installation was quick and easy. I ended up putting a backing board up as my studs were too far apart for what I wanted. I used screws with tighter threads that I bought from Lowes. I like the way the hanger pivots to maintain guitar center of gravity. It holds my Tele no problem. Even my little ukulele. Note that when you screw in the hanger into the wood base, do NOT screw all the way in! It is supposed to be a little loose. If you see the little black rubber spacer behind the hanger severely compressed, you’ve screwed it too far. I’ve seen a few reviews complaining that the hanger screw sticks out the back too far. The reason is because they screwed it in too tight. It’s supposed to be a little loose, so the hanger can rotate depending on the headstock shape. All in all very happy with the purchase. Now to go get more guitars!
