Great movie Meryl Streep was great

Great book and goes back to a great movie!

They sent the wrong thing!!!!!! I love the movie I really order the audio. I really love the movie and wanted to hear the book.

Ms. Weisberger's vaguely autobiographical novel is a deliciously funny tale of The Boss From Hell....yet it's very unfunny because it's (a) true and (b) bosses like this continue to thrive in the business world and victimize others.Still, the author manages to do what we'd all love to do: expose the evil, get famous, and make a lot of money doing it. Watch out, Evil Manager: you, too, may someday get your just desserts. Does one want to be famous or INfamous?

Of course, I, like everyone, have seen the movie. The movie only follows the book on occasion. It is a fun book and the narrator, Rache Cook, is quite good. It isn't a 5star book but it is enjoyable.

We listened to this while driving cross country. It was great and really made the drive go quickly. It is funny and witty. I wished it had been long enough to last the whole 3 day trip.

I saw the movie before I read the book, so of course I compared the two throughout my whole time listening to The Devil Wears Prada.The book is quite different from the movie, which I loved. I know that book-lovers hate it when their favorite book gets a make-over when turned to film, but my experience was backwards. Reading a book after watching a faithful movie representation bothers me a little. I feel like it's a waste of time, because I already know the characters and what happens. In this novel, the premise and most of the plot are the same, but the characters are distinctly different. The story isn't as light-hearted as the movie, which I found to be the most striking difference. Miranda isn't humanized at all, Emily is less mean (and therefore less funny), but she's definitely a more interesting, complex character than what the movie shows, and there's a lot more going on with Andrea's friends and family in the novel.Obviously, there are events the movie cut out due to time constraint and flow. These were fun to hear about and gave a much clearer picture on what Andrea was dealing with not only in regards to her job, but with her family and friends as well.I'm really glad I listened to this on audiobook. The narrator, Bernadette Dunne, makes the characters come alive. I got a good feel for their personalities and I could picture them a lot better than I would have been able to if I had just simply read this novel.Overall, The Devil Wears Prada is entertaining and funny. I also like that it has a good message, but I wasn't beaten over the head with it. I would definitely recommend this, even to those who have seen the movie. Just be prepared for it to be different.

I listened to this book. It started off fairly good, but totally fell apart at the end. I'm glad that I didn't purchase this, because it really isn't worth the money. It's like the author couldn't think of a good ending for the book, so she just tacked on anything... it leaves one feeling very unsatisfied.

Le CD-AUDIO anglais ne correspond pas à la version intégrale du même auteur. Il est serait logique de trouver dans ce cas le texte référant sur le CD ou alors d'indiquer la réf. correspondante.! en fait l'auteur change et réactualise son texte au gré des rééditions. Très US comme pratique.

この映画好きだし、audiobook聞いたら英語の勉強になるかなと思って買いました。でも勉強って感じじゃなくふつうに楽しんで聞けます☆この声も好きです。ただ思ってたより長かった・・（5,6時間ある？）。 もっとコンパクトに要約してあったらパーフェクトかな〜(^.')

女優のレイチェル・リー・クックの朗読によるThe Devil Wears PradaのCDです。６時間の大作。心地よい声にひたることができます。英語がわからなければ、ただの子守歌になってしまうかもしれませんが、中学・高校でちゃんと勉強してきたら努力すれば聞き取れます。辞書をひかないとわからない単語も大量にありますが。ただ、ちょっと癖のある発音なので、何度も聞き返さないと単語がわからないこともありますが。そこは前後の流れでなんとなくわかってしまうのが、CDならではの良さです。内容は十分なのですが、とりあえず英語のわからない人には無理なので、★一つマイナスです。
