The truth is, I'd never heard of a rotating hot air brush until finding one by accident on desertcart while searching for something else. I read all the reviews on the various brands out there and then settled in on the Babyliss. A little over a week later, I have to say I don't know how I ever thought I could get smooth frizz-free hair with hair products alone and without this Baby! I use several expensive frizz-control products, most of which I like, but not one can do what this rotating hot air brush can do, This is the best styling tool for turning my very wavy semi-frizzy hair into a smooth and tamed look. My hair is very thick and long - but the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium 2" Rotating Hot Air Brush gives me a smooth and styled look in 20 - 25 minutes. I found it to be intuitive and simple to use. It is, however, quite large and, as a result, a little clumsy when moving from section-to-section of hair. (I guess a "quite large" handle is the price you pay when you want a 2" brush size.) It comes with a hard plastic slip-on cover for the brush portion, but you might miss it in the box if you didn't know it was there. I had to read the instructions to learn what I had overlooked. That cover comes in handy for protecting the bristles if you tend to throw your tools into one container that holds your blow dryer, diffuser, brushes, etc. As others have said, you don't use this tool for drying your hair. I wait until my hair is 85-90% dry (a little dryer than others report) and then switch to the Babyliss to finish the job. It comes out looking like it was dried and styled at a salon. I have no talent in the hair styling department, so it is the tool and not my skill that makes this happen. I don't know anything about the other brands that I eliminated, as this is the only rotating hot air brush I have ever owned; but I can't imagine that they have anything that this one doesn't. Others may cost less, but I feel this one was well worth the price. How did I ever get along without it? Review: It dries and irons at the same time and does it quickly - I love this brush, it has an incredible function, it dries my hair and straightens it at the same time, it leaves it with a very beautiful shine, it dries it super fast

Good tool, but could be better.
Give this rotating dryer a chance before you send it back. At first it felt awkward, and it was hard to control. But then after a few uses, it has become a must-have tool for my unruly hair. It makes a lot of sense for the air to blow out from your hair, rather than inward, especially if you are trying to get volume. And no more acrobatics, standing on your head while you dry your hair. My hair also feels pretty silky, and there seems to be less frizz. The rotating barrel ensures that your hair is drying in the direction that you want it to dry. This is how I would improve it though: 1. The bristles are too soft. I have coarse Asian aging hair and just a few more levels of hardness would be great. Using boar bristles would be perfect. But this level of softness is ideal for fine hair, if that is what you have. 2. I was hoping that this dryer would also have the rubberized surface, like their other blow dryers. It keeps me from dropping it. 3. It would be even more useful if the barrel could rotate while in cool mode, this will allow the curl to stay put while you rotate in the opposite direction to disengage from your hair. 4. It would also be nice if you could operate the rotating barrel without the blowing, so you can set the curl around the barrel, then turn the heat on. Would give you more control for cleaner curls. Otherwise, an innovative and thoughtful new way of drying and styling hair.

No regrets
Best product ever!! Where were you 20 years ago when I needed you? I have had thick long curly hair ever since I was little. At the age of 16 I started going to my local hair salon for regular blowouts. What that just means is that they would just wash and dry your hair and blow dry it straight with the round brush and a professional hair dryer. It was worth every penny. Ever since hair straighteners have come into my life I have tried and failed on random products and hair appliances. From the $200 hair straightener to the $200 blow dryer to the $50 curling iron's and the hot rollers I've had some successes with some items but ultimately I have never been able to get my hair blown out like how it would be professionally until this morning. I've watched a couple YouTube videos and read the directions on how I needed to use this. I'm not someone who can wash her hair 30 minutes prior to work. I need a good couple hours and usually do it the night before. I wash and conditioned my hair. When I get out of the shower I apply my Argan oil heat protectant/ leave in conditioner and a couple drops of oil to the ends. I air dry my hair till it's about 80% dry. With this specific item I was actually going to blow dry my hair so the roots could get nice and dry and then use the product. But my hair was pretty much dry when I started. So I decided to try it without actually using my blow dryer. I sectioned my hair. This item worked beautifully. After navigating the controls I was able to do it perfectly. My hair is smooth and perfect. I was actually nervous about getting it tangled in my hair. Because when I was little I've had things get stuck in my hair and I've had to cut out a hot curling iron with spikes before. I think I'm still tramaurized by it. Anyways I did not receive this product free. I bought it with my money. I thought the item itself was a little pricey for what I was getting. But now I actually think the price is spot on because if I calculate how much I would pay trying to blow dry my hair professionally I do end up saving money. You need this item. You will have no regrets.

I am in love with this rotating brush! I have zero ability to style my hair and have never been able to successfully blow dry and use a round brush simultaneously. This brush works great on short/medium length hair. I got it specifically to style my angled bob and to provide volume at the roots. I like how there are 2 speed settings: low has a slower rotation and blows warm air, high has a faster rotation and blows hot air. The bristles are very soft and don't hurt your scalp while rotating. However I can see how with longer hair the bristles might not be hard enough to grab the hair. The buttons for the rotation are conveniently located and rotate forward and backwards. One thing I want to share is that after watching many tutorial videos on YouTube I noticed that this brush is being used incorrectly. The rotation is not meant to be used continuously which can result in hair getting tangled around the brush (especially for longer hair). The rotation is supposed to be used in short bursts then released with the hair held in place. Overall this has made my life a lot easier and allows me to actually style my hair which I couldn't do before. It is an expensive product at over $100 but I am hoping it lasts for a few years.

I am an older woman, and have very fine hair, shoulders length. I also have hot flash galore when I dry my hair. I tried this yesterday for the first time and have to say that this will be my next favorite tool. I think I put too much products in my hair and not dried it enough before using the hot air brush. However, I had tried it on dry hair and it worked great. Make sure you dry your roots with your regular hair dryer so the brush will be more effective. As I said before, I have raging hot flashes when I dry my hair (why???) and so i'm having problems with drying the roots. Next time, I will completely let my hair air dry and then apply a light spritz and use the brush. You also have to get accustomed to the button that makes the brush roll. But it should not be difficult. It will not thight your hair so hard that it is uncomfortable. This tool, I think, cannot be used alone as you need to almost completely dry your hair before your brush can get you volume. And it will not give you curls.
