I saw this product advertised for indoor candles, but nearly no reviews were for the pumpkin lights. I took a chance because you get 4 of them for less than some other pumpkin light 2 packs.Each light takes 2 AA batteries. The lights have a warm white color temp that will look additionally orange when in a pumpkin (probably like 3000-3500k).The remote seems to only work on one light at a time, so you have to spam the buttons a little for some functions (you'll see one light blink but not the other when pressing a button once, and if you press a second time, the other light blinks to show it registered the input). You have to be within about 6 feet for the remote to work reliably.I found the dimmest brightness to be adequate for nighttime pumpkins (to save battery), but the brightest looks good, too. You can sometimes see the light peeking out depending on how you carved your pumpkins.The timer function is better than I would've guessed. It does turn the pumpkin off after the time (2, 4, 6, and 8 hours), but it also turned them back on the next day! I haven't timed it specifically, but if I turned it on at 8pm for 2 hours, it seems that they would go off about 10, then back on at 8 the next night. Super cool!We liked these so much that we put them inside (in some fake pumpkins) after our real pumpkins rotted out!Great bang for the buck!Long story short:+ 4 pack for a good price+ Timer works and is smarter than I thought+ Good color temp for candles+ Remote works, but with quirks+ Brightness range is good- Have to be close for remote to work- Sometimes takes a few button presses? Not sure on battery life or life of LEDs, but having 4 was a nice backup.

excellent timer function & they look pretty but they could be a bit brighter. Would prefer if the flame light was more visible & flickered.

UPDATE: They lasted the whole summer through rain and sun.These are perfect for 2 outdoor lanterns. Love the timer and remote feature. They are advertised and box says outdoor/waterproof. However the instruction sheet inside says indoor use only. I guess we’ll see! They’re cheap. Not the highest hope.

Ordered 2 boxes, total of 8 lights. While the lights themselves are great, love the glowing effect as if a real candle, I specifically purchased these for the remote control features. We carve our pumpkins, open at bottom, so remotes are ideal for this. However, tried the remote from each box, neither remote works at all!!! Batteries were tested in other equipment and they work just fine. So disappointed with this product. Will not buy from them again.

I just received these today so time will tell how they hold up but I wanted to comment how pleased I am with the brightness. Some of these lights are very dim but I wanted a bright light for inside our jack-o-lanterns and this is great. It's surprisingly a soft white but still bright and you can dim it down if that's what you need. Remote seems to work fine and the timer function worked so far to set them, we will see tomorrow if they come back on at the same time. GREAT buy for the price.

VERY satisfied with this purchase. I required candles for outside - that needed to be non wax type- and these fit the bill. Love the remote and timer aspect, and that they can be flicker or solid lighting.
