50% Chance of Getting a Bad Tube (Updated)
I bought 4 of tubes of Eco-Bond Multi-Purpose from Home Depot's online store:The first 2 tubes I used were excellent -- the caulk went on smoothly (a little more dense than regular caulk, and dries much faster, which is nice). They also had no VOC's or other fumes. The 3rd tube was so pasty and dry that it took a lot of effort just squeezing it out with the caulk gun, and even a bigger cut on the tube tip didn't help. Smoothing it with a wet paper towel like I had done for the first two tubes didn't work very well, this caulk was almost already dried. The 4th tube was almost as dry as the 3rd one. It's only slightly easier getting it out with the caulk gun, however my hands still hurt because of the amount of pressure needed. I'm debating on whether I should just toss this one away, as it doesn't smooth very well.Summary: from my experience, there's a 50% chance of getting a bad tube.Eco-Bond's email address supplied on the tube, and the one supplied on their website, both bounced. Calling their 800 number results in being routed to voice mail requesting your name and number. It's very hard getting ahold of them. I'll update this if they ever return my call or email. This might be a good buy if picked up in a store and, before accepting them, you cut open every tube and try it out at the pickup counter before accepting (unfortunately, this would mean those tubes would also dry out faster than if left unopened). Unless you have a way of testing out and exchanging any defective Eco-Bond tubes for good ones, I'm not sure I would recommend buying Eco-Bond.UPDATE [5/2/2015]:I was contacted by Eco-Bond the day after sending those emails that bounced with errors (and I also messaged them via their website). They promptly offered me replacement tubes for the 2 bad tubes (which arrived in about a week, and work fantastically just like the first 2 good tubes!). They asked that I send the bad tubes back for determining the cause of why so many tubes had dried out (they paid for the return shipping). I'm very impressed at how much they stand behind their product. From talking with their representative, I feel they really do believe in the quality of their products. The Eco-Bond caulking is fume-free, and I haven't gotten light-headed, dizzy, or a headache while using it (or afterwards, while letting it dry). Although I will still cut open all Eco-Bond tubes before I accept them at the pickup counter, I'm pretty confident that Eco-Bond will figure out the cause of the "dried-out tubes" problem and fix it.p.s. Telling the difference between a good tube and a defective one: Good Eco-Bond caulk is easily manipulated and does not "push" back, it should also be slightly shiny due to the moisture content. Dried-out caulking will be very bubblegummy or gooey, requiring extreme pressure to squeeze out of the tube, and it is also dull with little or no shine. Dried-out caulking is very difficult to smooth after applying and will often leave extremely long "trails" when you pull the caulk gun away (think: hot pizza slice where you pull the slice away and get a long, messy trail). Obviously, if you received dried-out caulk, you should get a replacement or refund from wherever you bought it from.

A "green" winner!
It's odorless, non-toxic, and very sticky. Seems to work even better than silicone for sticking both porous and nonporous things together. The only downside is that it is more gelatinous than most products one uses with a caulking gun & therefore it does take a bit of learning to determine how hard to squeeze the trigger and how fast to move the nozzle when laying a bead. A small price to pay for a glue that is as safe to use in the home as this one is.Unlike many "green" products that just don't perform as well as the toxic ones on the hardware store shelf, Eco-bond delivers.

Threw It Away
The adhesive was dried out and not usable with a caulk gun.

Really hard to use
It would not flow out like regular caulk. I understand that green products normally do not work as well as their counterparts, but when you have to open the caulk and apply it with your finger because it is all goopy- that's pretty bad. It makes me wonder if this is just the nature of the product, or did I get an old, expired product.

We use this because we don't like harsh chemicals
We use this because we don't like harsh chemicals. Seems to do the job well and has no odor. Really sticky though and super hard to get off your fingers (best to use dry paper towels to wipe off your skin).

If you have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities....
I have multiple chemical sensitivities. I have serious reactions to regular chaulk and searched for a product that would not give off the wretched smell . This product did not harm me! My husband chaulked windows with it and I had no reaction. He said it was as good or better than ordinary chaulk . Finally, a Winner!

great versatile product - almost no odor... sets fast and hard.
super strong... sets fast... easy to use... its sticky and gets on everything if you are sloppy... but it does the trick super well. only the faintest hint of some odor but not at all offensive. easyish to clean up and reassuring to bring in fewer VOCs into the house. used it in kitchen remodel for counter tops, cement board to wood, wood to wood, wood to cement, metal to metal. a real champ of a product. just wish it came with a screw-top so that we could easily store it for much later use.
