Not a traditional biography, for the more advanced readers of Swamiji
This is not a traditional biography of Swamiji, neither in prose nor in composition. Only advanced readers of Swamiji may find it of help in some selective cases

Really the monk was a man.
Amazing facts, about the life of Swami ji, that made me realise that Swami ji was just an ordinary person, like us, with an extra ordinary will power, who played the greatest of the great role, in the nation building, without occupying a public office.

Must read for all interested in the life history of this great man
This book gave a peek into so many different aspects of the great man. His penchant for cooking, the foodie that he was, the description of his mother, the history of his family and the detailed description of the last part was absolutely unknown to me. I loved the book. I agree the editing could have been better as some anecdotes and facts were repeated; am sure by mistake.

Vivekananda the man.
The book is unique in that it shows Vivekananda, the man. There are two chapters on Vivekananda and food. Vivekananda was very keen on cooking.

A Good Book but Highly Repetitious
It is a good book and contains certain unknown facts about Swamiji. But, some stories about him were very repetitious e.g. his sister committed suicide, he once didn't drink water for 21 days etc. these stories got repeated atleast 5-6 times. First half of the book was awesome but end pages of the book only contain information about his Bad Health. You will become sick after reading such detailed repetitious information about his health. But writer has done a good job. You will understand about Vivekananda better if you will read this book.
