Overall this is a very good product.
This is a very solid product and seems very durable. Screws together very well and the rubber gaskets prevent water from seeping in and stripping the threads. The blades do not come very sharp, but it does come with a sharpener. Every tool functions as expected and an added bonus was that the magnesium rod does screw out to be replaced when it has been completely used. Overall this is a very good product.

Excellent Camping Axe Got Better With Included Sharpener
This camping axe became even better with the sharpener they include with the Yeacool Camping Axe. With the sharpener, I was able to cut into wood logs a lot faster and it came in really handy when camping to cut wood into smaller kindling to start the fire. It's built well, includes extras (firestarter, knife, bottle opener, emergency whistle) and has space to include even more survival items (tinder, matches, fishing line, hand saw,etc...). It's built well and can be adjusted in size with the different screwed portions of the handle. All in all, it is a great camping axe which I will also use around the yard.

This thing is awesome!
I have two shovels that have similar characteristics to this item with the handles and things hidden inside but I wanted an axe! The axe was the one thing I was missing in my survival set. An axe is probably way more useful than a shovel.Pros=Awesome case even though it's just cardboard. I like returning all the parts into the case when I'm done.=Comes with some cool camo grip tape.=Comes with a sharpner, that's cool.=love the black. My other two shovels are gold.=I like the paracord off the end of it to hang on.InstructionsIt's pretty confusing as to what order to assemble things but If you're chopping, use less extensions as the instructions mentions.Overall this thing is going in my survival/camping set.

Yess!
Was not expecting much with this being priced the way it is but was pleasantly surprised when I received it! Have yet to test it out and put it through the paces but at the top of each of the threads is an o ring to ensure water stays out, blade came nice and sharp, knife is mounted on some sort of plastic material so obviously you wouldn't get to crazy with it but overall very happy with it!

Sturdy, Well-built, will last a long time
Thus far, I've only had a chance to use it around the house; as hunt seasons approach, it will get more of a test, but to date, it has performed great! This tool is so well built, once assembled, you are hard pressed to find where the various parts of the handle screw into each other. It gives the appearance of being one, solid piece.Use caution: if you intend some fairly heavy log splitting with it, you must only use the short extension tube with the ax head. Medium diameter logs have split easily. The ax and the included knife sharpen easily (and hold an edge) with any standard sharpener. I keep several small ones in my hunting stuff, and camping stuff. Mine came with a sharpener, which I have yet to use, but my guess is that it performs well. There was an earlier review that discussed the ax head coming loose from the first extension tube; there is an easy remedy for that. Since I'm keeping mine with a "permanent" attachment of the head to the first tube, I used some clear fingernail polish on the threads. It's about as good as Lok-Tite, and should you need to separate the two, they come apart easier than with the Lok-Tite. Most anything I need as 'permanent', I use clear nail polish, including the screws on rifle scope rings; the advantage is that once dry, it's ALMOST as good as Lok-Tite, but easier to unscrew if you need to.I agree with the instructions that some lube on the other threads will keep o-rings sealed, and make the ax easy to disassemble; WD-40 makes a silicone-based spray, which, for my purposes, works better than "plain" lube. A good friend prefers paraffin, and while I've never tried it, I trust his judgement.Greetings to all, and hope this review helps,Vlad

Is the Yeacool Axe A Jack of All Trades Master?
Overall quite good and enjoyable product. I was skeptical at first, as I find multipurpose tools to often be poor at most tasks. However, I was overall very pleased. The axe performed well at chopping tasks...better at chopping than carving...and the knife performed rather well overall. You will find the axe and knife will not be extremely sharp out of the box, but they do perform reasonably well. The steel seems to hold a solid edge, even after substantial use. You can wrap the handle if you prefer, but I found that was not necessary. There is a slight tendency for the handle to spin on the threads if you strike the axe at certain angles, but if you pay attention you can modify your attack to prevent that issue. The other tools do appear to work as expected, and the sharpener is a dual grit diamond. I used it to rework the edge of the axe a bit and it overall does work reasonably. My only real concern is the plastic threads on the knife...should have been made out of metal for strength, but I did not have a problem with it...you just need to be careful. This is not best used as a primary tool, but would be better suited for use in an ATV or as a backup when needed. Full review on YouTube...Outer Limitless.

Good For Beginners
It is a great item to carry in your vehicle for an emergency. It also would make a great gift for someone young that is just getting into camping and the outdoors.

Item exactly as advertised
This camp axe arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. It is hefty, as an axe should be, and it appears to be quite well made. I am very happy with my purchase and I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again.
