Also, I had some old files stored on CD rom's that I wanted to move. After reading other reviews, I downloaded VLC media player ahead of time. When connecting the Haiway device, I initially had problems with my new computer recognizing the external drive. I went into devices, I can't remember the exact path, and saw that Window 10 needed to download additional drivers for the Haiway device to work properly. Windows 10 did this for me and since then it has been smooth sailing. If this changes, I will update this review. So far, though, this device has performed very well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend!!! *by E***G on September 18, 2018* I absolutely adore this USB External DVD and CD drive! The drive works with my MacBook Air perfectly. During startup of the drive, you just need to press the ejection button and simply insert a CD/DVD and wait for your macbook to read the disk. Then, a CD icon should pop up on your desktop. If you're trying to sync CDs with iTunes, that is an even easier process! iTunes should automatically turn on and ask if you'd like to sync the CD. Once you've completed your usage of the disc, you click on the disc icon, go to "File" in the main menu on the top of the macbook, and scroll down to "eject disc". I considered this purchase a bargain, and I highly recommend. The outer packing is also excellent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works fine, but may need extra software *by T***N on January 19, 2021* So, this doesn't work with windows 10. You have to download an audio program. It is pretty easy to do, unless you have extra content DVDs. Then you need to make sure you have software that will work and I found it to be more of a pain, but not insurmountable. Overall it is fine and works.
