Earth Energies: A Quest for the Hidden Power of the Planet

quite elementary and shallow
i was initially excited when i read the table of contents. however, after reading the book i was surprised to see the manner in which serge king addresses each subject with such vast amounts of generalitiies . Most of the chapters he writes in a way that glosses over and through the subject without really being very specific. An example would be in chapter five on pyramids. he mentions that the great pyramid's dimensions are related to "Pi" but doesn't even mention the simple fact that the shape of the pyramid is related to the circle (and hence the earth) by showing how the formula for the circumfrance of a cirlce is the same formula for determining the length of the total base length of the pyramid (i.e Pi equals the four base lengths divided by 2 times the height of the pyramid). other important and relatively simple ideas about what makes the giza pyramids so powerful are also glossed over. he also states that the ratio of sides to base (which determine the shape) does not "matter". in the middle of the chapter on orgone and wilhelm reich, he starts talking about sharpening razor blades with his "manobox". in the chapter on geomancy he states "periods of seasonal change and power times are more symbolic than natural. March 21 at 3:10 pm is the exact moment when the sun is equidistant in the highest and lowest positions and day and night are equal." i'm not sure what he means by symbolic but the equinoxes and solstices are powerful portals of change. Also the spring equinox is based on a natural astrological occurence that changes each year. this year (2010) it was at 6:32 EST march 20th. a gross and erroneous generality. i dont know how this book got published, with it being so elementary and shallow in how it deals with most of the subjects. i would recommend finding other books if you are interested in this subject or any of the subjects he talks about.

Earth Energies
I am building a library for myself and am collecting books for the library that I will have some day. This is one such book. I haven’t read it yet but I think it will be fascinating and am looking forward to reading it.

I loved this book
I loved this book, as I have his other ones. Great information, easily understood and can be applied to our daily lives. I love working with the energy field and have had great success in applying and using his directions.

Good to have this old friend back again.
I had a copy of this book long ago. The suggestions I tried worked very well. Somewhere in my travels my old copy got destroyed so I'm very happy to have found this again.

Earth Energies
A new take on some older writings in this field, It collects together lots of branches of this field of study and compares them . Serge King encourgaes self experimentation of some of the effects which is very engaging.
