DressLily Women Swan Printed Belted Dress

This dress is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!TLTR:- Make sure you measure before you buy.- Stretchy fabric. Good for big busts and small waists.- Irons well on medium-high heat. Fabric/pattern does not warp.The size was a really good fit. I decided to go by the waist size instead of bust size and gave it a couple of centimeters leeway. The fabric is quite stretchy so my bust fit perfectly. The sleeves are stretchy too so if you are like me and are on the larger side you dont have to worry that your arms wont fit.The print is really nice and received A LOT of compliments.The fabric on the bottom half is stretchy too but not like the top half.It was easy to iron and I used medium-high temperature on my iron. It didnt melt the fabric and the pattern was left in tact.The belt was a tiny bit flimsy but it didnt ruin the way the dress looked.

Beautiful versatile day dress- note: the top half is darker than the bottom half and they're both different material.The material on the top half is rather stretchy.I'm a 166cm size10 and I ordered the Medium to be on the safer side - it fits well, but I think the Small would give a more snug fit for a size 10, if that's the preference.On me, the waist is empire line.The belt loops stand out a bit, but they're easy to remove - I've removed the belt loops and I'm using one of my own belts instead of the one that came with the dress.

For what it is and its price, I love it. It is polyester and so I am a little worried about wearing it on a hot day but it has a great 50's feel. I also purchased a frilly underskirt to go with it. I found the top part to be surprisingly flattering and I like that the top of my arms are covered and not restricted in movement, so a good fit..To be honest this is not a style of dress that I would normally choose and I did buy it on 'prime day' so a little cheaper than normal. That said I have it in mind to wear to a wedding in August and even if it does not turn out to be the dress I wear that day I shall keep it as I think it is a great vintage style.

I am a size 20 in Yours Clothing and 170cm in height. I ordered the largest size 4XL and it fits well. The material feels extremely artificial and the bottom is not as wide as on the picture. Definitely, not a high quality, but I am going to wear it anyway. Quality similar to "Select" shops. It took 2 weeks to arrive which was surprisingly quick.

Very nice ‘50’s’ style dress with stretchy polyester/viscose ¾ sleeve top and a good quality stiff cotton printed skirt. Long zip up centre back. ‘Swan’ print is bold, bright and clear. Seams are neat and finished off by overlocker. Glamorous and dressy. I have changed the belt to a leather one of my own (but do this with any fabric belt).Important thing to note – the size guide on this dress is ACCURATE ! No need to ‘size up’ for Asian sizes. L = 14, XL= 16/18. The sleeves especially are cut generously in larger sizes – so if you have larger arms this is a plus. The waist is positioned quite high – which suits my body shape. I’ve had lots of compliments and it’s a very easy way to wear something that looks quite formal, while being very comfortable. A very easy to wear style!

My daughter is 5 feet 5 and a petite size 8. I often find that size 8 swamps her. This dress fits perfectly because the bodice is slightly elasticated meaning it fits to the body. That along with the belt makes it very flattering. It sits nicely on the knee. It needs an underskirt to get the full effect, so I would highly recommend buying one if you don't have one (ie a net underskirt to puff it out). The neckline is flattering but modest for a teenager. The navy colour is incredibly smart and I paired it with a red underskirt which matches the red in the pattern. I'm going to buy her another one in black because it's so nice. Very happy with the buy. It does look a bit rockabilly but to be honest it's just a very flattering dress.

Pros: Good for the price, love the pattern, skirt feels nice and swishy.Cons: the belt is very flimsy and falls down, and the end flops down when it is fastened. The belt loops are a bit high for me, but that could be because I'm an odd shape. If I can find a belt that looks good, or remove the belt loops without damaging the dress, this will be a lovely dress to wear out.I bought a large, going on other reviews, and its a bit big for me as a size 12-14.

This dress was shocking. In the picture it looks like the skirt is a silky shiny material - but in reality it's a matte cotton. Definetely not purplish-blue as described, but a rather unpleasant shade of blue. The material of the top was not of good quality and just added to the overall feel of a cheap dress. The worst thing of all were the belt loops - in the picture they are shown as being on the waist - which is exactly where they should be. Unfortunately, the belt loops on the dress that I received were located just under the armpits!! Overall this was a great disappointment and was returned on the same day it was received.
