I was disappointed when my dog ate the tie on one of my Keens. Luckily I saw this product and decided to try replacing it myself. They come in several colors, but I needed black. They were easy to put together and look very close to the originals. I replaced both so they matched. The elastic is a little stiff, but they will most likely soften as I use them. Such a bargain compared to buying a new pair of Keens.

I mostly like the product. It is very easy to use and will keep your feet snug in your shoes. I installed them in my hiking shoes and they work great. I never have to worry about shoes untying on a hike. You can pull tight specific areas where you need to, to get a good fit. The one small critique I have is that once you install them you really cannot easily remove them. So initially, I left the laces too long and wanted to cut them short. Once you cap the lace ends, they cannot easily be removed. In my last pair of Adidas Terrex shoes that had a similar system, you could easily just uncap the ends to make adjustments. I had to use needle nose pliers and a screw driver to pry them open to uncap the ends. I can imagine that the force might have made the ends snap rendering them useless. So do your measuring and adjusting carefully before placing the cap. The instructions are only pictures and don't really explain this. But beyond this small issue, I do like these laces.

My adult differently abled son has very strong essential tremors that make his hands shake uncontrollably. These are replacements for the last pair. He holds the tongue of his shoes and make our lives easier.

No more tying shoes. I have these on all my everyday wear shoes.Simple to install and secures my shoes on very well.

Unfortunately these do not fit Salamon shoes (the only kind my husband wears). After our puppy chewed his laces I ordered these and were disappointed to discover they are too big to fit through Salamon's notoriously small eyelets. I'm sure Salamon requires micro laces to force people to buy their outrageously priced laces. I was just disappointed that these were not as "universal" as advertised.

They work good. I modified them a bit to fit my needs but all in al good purchase.
