Great Stories from Indian Literary Giant. Worth buying !
It was just a surprising experience for me when I saw Amrita Pritam - one of the prominent figure of Hindi and Punjabi literature is on the shelf of Amazon.....Amazing Amazon has delivered this book in time. I read it in a day. Planning to buy more of her work. I am satisfied with the book its printing quality as well as the collection... The touching thing about this book is Amrita Pritam has selected her own best stories and wrote in the preface that - "She is dedicated these stories to that Stories that has not been included in the book". What a nice thought! Amrita Pritam was the first prominent woman Punjabi poet, novelist, and essayist, and the leading 20th-century poet of the Punjabi language, who is equally loved on both the sides of the India-Pakistan border. Her most of the stories relates a well-weaved love-messages. Thanks to Amazon, you guys are 'Amazing' creating 'Amazing' things for the customers around the world. I recommend this book to all the book lovers just read her you will find a touching experience of vast love hidden in you...

मैंने इन कहानियों को किंडल वर्ज़न में पढ़ा भी है और ऑडिबल पर सुना भी है। ये कहानियाँ बेहद खूबसूरत और मानव को उसकी ख़ूबसूरती को खोजने के लिए प्रेरणा देने वाली हैं। अव्वल तो मैं रिव्यू लिखना नहीं चाह रहा था क्यूँकि बहती हवा और बहते शुद्ध जल का क्या रिव्यू कर सकता है कोई!? किंतु यहाँ आमेजन के कुछ रिव्यूज़ पढ़कर लगा लिखना आवश्यक है। ये कहानी-संग्रह अल्पज्ञ और अनुभूति रहित लोगों के लिए नहीं है। जो लोग बहती नदियों से आनंद ले सकते हैं, शीत की धूप का आनंद ले सकते हैं, पावस की बूँदों का आनंद ले सकते हैं, इन्हें वही पढ़ सकते हैं और महसूस भी कर सकते हैं। आपकी आत्मा और हृदय की गहराइयाँ जितनी हैं आप उतना गहरे तक ही महसूस कर पाएँगे।आप हिंदी साहित्य और जीवन के प्रेमी हैं तो बिलाशक इन कहानियों को पढ़िये और आनंद उठाइए। हृदयहीन लोग इसे ख़रीदकर पैसा और समय व्यर्थ करेंगे, वे न ख़रीदें, इसे मेरी चेतावनी समझें!

Lovely short stories collection
With effortless and fluid writing style these stories are about contemporary issues and are packed in pure Amrita Pritam essence. The most beautiful thing about the book is that all the stories make the reader feel as if these are real life encounters of the author and author has actually met these characters and protagonists in real life and therefore telling their stories. These stories takes the reader to a different journey whose focal point is a woman's life. As the author says in introduction that 'some stories represent feminine vision and take on life and love. Although the female character of each story belong to different classes, they have different experiences and visions but they share one thing in common that is pain.' I was very excited when I picked this book and this collection didn't disappointed me a bit.
