Great deal-- lower price with excellent performance
I am very impressed with this lens hood. It took a minute to get familiar with the motions to attach, detach, reverse and detach it, but in all of the needed positions, it fit quite well. That point-- the fit-- is obviously the most important consideration in my evaluation, obviously. A nearly equivalent factor is the price. The manufacturer charges more than twice as much for its lens hood. Not being a nonchalant billionaire, I am not willing to pay a vast premium for the name. Functionality comes first, then a reasonable cost comes second, not to be ignored.Being mainly an indoor photographer, I had no interest in lens hoods earlier. Nowadays, I have heard enthusiasts and professionals alike advise that a lens hood provides better protection as well as prevents any degradation of one's images from a cheap UV filter. So my "insurance" on my expensive lenses is better served by a lens hood. Further, the digital sensors are capable of eliminating UV effects on their own. So, fewer UV filters and more lens hoods will be in my camera bag from now on.This lens hood is quite solid, even feeling like metal, even though it has been made of ABS. Interesingly enough, the manufacturer's lens hood material is not specified, anyway. I have no doubt that if it were aluminum, they would be quick to tell us so. I'm content with what I got, then. There is no wobble, just a tight and secure fit. It does not come with a lens cap, but the UV filter I bought included one, so I'm good to go already. It does all that I can expect.Highly recommended.Be well.Be safe.

Fits fine on my Canon EOS R50 lenses.
It does fit but you have to make sure you line the little grooves on the outside of the lens with the hood and it'll snap right on. Once you snap it on you just twist it until it clicks, it will stay put and it will not fall off like one video demonstrated. It was falling off because she wasn't properly aligning the grooves on the hood to the lens. If you try to just push it on any kind of way, yes it will fall off. The lens has the "male" grooves and the hood has the "female" grooves so just align them correctly and it'll go on. Also easy to remove. Just twist it the opposite way until you hear the click and then it'll come right off. Works as intended, and fits well on the lenses I have. And can still use the lens cover with it.

I figured it out...
This is a really nice high quality lens hood. I realize it's plastic but that makes it very light and inexpensive. There is one problem with it and that is it does not come with any instructions on how to install it but I figured it out...On the side of the lens hood you will find a small red I/O symbol. If you face it upwards the hood will fit over the tabs on the lens and then you need only turn it one full quarter turn clockwise until the white JJC logo appears on top. If your lens hood is falling off you are not installing it correctly. It must fit over the tabs and be turned one full quarter turn clockwise. It does feel a little tight at first but once you figure it out it goes on quite easily. If you have to I would suggest taking some very fine sandpaper and clean up the inner surface a little bit if it's simply won't fit. I hope this helps a little.

It’s a hood and it shades the lens. And it stays on. Excellent
This lens hood is a success. It fit my lens. It extends beyond the front of the lens to discourage me from bumping into the expensive glass part. It has not come off even when I shove the camera into a backpack that doesn’t have any special padding.Win.

A Cost Effective Alternative to the OEM
This lens hood substitute for the OEM is much less expensive and appears to work exactly like the original. It's well built, does not affect picture quality and also protects the lens. The cap fits perfectly on top of it and though I haven't used filters the screw threads look well made. I recommend this product.
