Review: Gets Right to the Point - GREAT, Fun Practice! - This book was exactly what I was looking for for my 7 year old son (2nd grade). It is very straightforward and doesn't waste time with teaching the alphabet. We homeschool and he wanted to start cursive this year, so I thought we should practice his printing the first 3/4 of the year and then move on to cursive towards the end. My son is an excellent reader, so writing these words was not difficult for him - he knew how to read them so it was really fun to see all the different "boy-type" words. He was very excited to get the the sentences! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the proportions of some of their letters because of the font they use. The lower case "t", for example, is shorter than the other high-back letters like "h" - causing my son to write a lower case "t" smaller than he should be. I explained it to him, so he writes it correctly despite what he sees on the page.
