Omega 3 Fish Oil Triple Strength 2720 mg, High EPA 1250 mg DHA 488 mg, Non-GMO Heavy Metal Tested, 90 Softgels

I've been taking for several days now and seems to be working well. No fishy burps either. Time will ultimately tell but seems to be a great product.

I have several health issues I address with diet and suppliments. I have the medical tests to prove it. Recently a particular tuna I swore by I am now swearing at as they changed canner and the product went downhill and the nutritional values as well as smell and taste changed radically. I chose these as a replacement. I have genetic cholesterol issues and some blood pressure issues. With a high amount of omega3 supplemental, it has helped raise my HDL, lower LDL and I can actually FEEL that some of the LDL and clogging in my blood vessels has been removed. These were chosen for the reports of afterflavor, amount of EPA and DHA they present, and the ratio of Omega3 to Omega6 they have. The bottle is 'huge' and the gels are large. The recommended dosage is 2 capsules a day. This parallels my earlier intake via the tuna of a can every other day, on the amount of EPA ad DHA they offer. They are easy to take with a meal (I take both at my first meal of the day), and I have had a little bit of aftertaste but it almost tastes like the lightest note of WATERMELON not a greasy burnt fish stick afterburp that sticks with you for hours, and not every time I take them. And maybe one pass at the note, then it's done. It does say on the bottle to take these with food, I believe it does help with any aftertastes plus proper absorption. I had been without the tuna for a bit and could feel it, and now that I've started to take these, things are improved. My feet swelling (fluid retention due to circulation issues) also seems to have diminished after about a week of taking these. I have to do other things to add the protein I miss from the tuna, but these seem to be giving me the same supplemental benefit. This may not work for anyone else, but I am glad to find these. I will update after my blood panel in a few months. Also I am celiac and these have had no issues with whatever else is in them. They are made from anchovy (fish) so they are not vegan. Compared to Krill and other sources, these do not have that TASTE! A lot of other supplements like this have various cold pressed vegetable oils and you are not certain that you are not getting some GMO in there. The only ingredients in these are 'Fish (anchovy), gelatin, glycerin, purified water'. Two capsules are 27 calories, 25 calories from fat, 2.7g fat (4% based on 2000 calorie diet), and provide 2720 mg fish oil 1250 mg EPA 488 mg DHA or roughly the 3:1 ratio that is the 'good ratio'. Expiration date on my bottle was nearly 3 years out, so plenty fresh.

I searched for this product after reviewing a Univ of Kansas 2014 study described by Stephen Ilardi (Associate Professor of Psychology) that found some depression responded well to Omega 3, specifically at the level of 1,000 or more mg EPA per day. I added this product to my diet because I wanted a natural alternative to drugs and I wanted the dose in fewer capsules (2/per day). Watching Stephen Ilardi’s (YouTube) video, he explained nasty fish burps are caused by old product, and I have never experienced fishy burps with this product. I feel this product is good quality and I buy it repeatedly.

You can often tell the quality of a fish oil by how translucent the actual softgels are. If you want to be more precise, stick a softgel or two in the freezer. When frozen, higher efficacy fish oils will maintain a clear versus foggy appearance. Such is the case with these. Plus, they are much more potent than a lot of over-the-counter fish oil products. The higher quality will ensure you’re getting optimal performance. These are a definite buy!
