A good book!
I've bought this book with the intention of self studying from zero to hero in bookkeeping. It was not that easy to understand as a total beginner, so I wouldn't suggest this on its own for self study, but once I started to use another, more basic book (the ICB level II by Kaplan) and I understood the basics from there, it became extremely handy to use this book to look up the more complicated topics and additional topics which were not covered by the other, more basic book (like extended trial balance). Once I had a basic clue about what is going on, this book proved to be extremely valuable. Both books are five star and they work perfectly together.

Good Quality
Good quality for a used item at a brilliant price. Recently started a booking -keeping course and this book was recommended by my tutor. Extremely happy with my purchase and it makes me more inclined to purchased used books in the future.

fantastic textbook
I was recommended this book as an accompaniment to my course books. I am currently studying for my diploma in bookkeeping and finding the course heavy going. I have previously purchased the ICB books but they are not always easy to follow. This book uses simple language without being patronising and illustrates with examples.I would recommend this to anyone starting out with their studies because if you don't quite get what your course books say, this book will explain it slightly differently and 9/10 you'll understand it after reading this.Brilliantly written textbook!!!!

Really Helpful
I am a new business owner and have had to get to grips with the accounts. Although I am not stupid I did need some direction and explanation of certain terms. I have found this book to be excellent. It is thorough and concise. I have found all the information I've needed and in a format which I believe is understandable for all of us who are reasonably capable even though we are not accountants.

Great for AAT Level 2
I am taking my AAT level 2 and this book was recommended by my tutor as additional reading to the Osborne book. Describes things differently and therefore gives a better overview of subjects. Really helpful on getting to grips with T accounts and double entry book keeping. Definitely recommend having this book as an aide memoir. Has end of chapter questions as well, which are great as they are worded differently from AAT and Osborne. Will still be helpful when I go for Level 3.

Great book..
It's a great book. I managed to study the first level of bookkeeping from home thanks to this book. The third edition is my Business school reference book, but I opted for the fourth edition simply because it has all the answers for the questions on the publisher's website. Really easy book to understand.

This is a very good book, which I use all the time
This is a very good book, which I use all the time. It describes concisely and clearly the concepts of accounting, which makes studying the subject a lot easier. I would recommend this book, and other books by David Cox to anyone who is looking for a book to help them with starting to study accounting.
