Amazing fit!
Great fit can’t tell it’s there and good image quality only thing is that the led light is a bit dim for an led but that might be so you can see the camera at night

works fine
seem to be of good quality. i dont know about sony. purchased to replace a failed camera. fits in license plate light fixture. probaly fits other hondas and acuras since the hole cutout should all be the same. picture is ok. leds are 6000k so make sure you have the other bulb side match

works as expected. minor modification needed to make fit just right
ligts are bright camera is clear. i would definitely get a led bulb for the other tag light so that the colors match. i have a 6 acura tsx and i did have to take a dremel tool and sand out a bit of the plastic cover so that it fit perfectly but its hidden and even if i reinstall the original light , it wouldn't be seen. i recommend this for the 1.1 android screen for the 1st gen non nav version tsx.

Almost, But Not Quite!
What interested me in this camera was the information indicating that this Back Up Camera fits a 1999 Honda Accord. Reviewing the photo's I thought that there was hope due to the thicker housing and lower fixed camera angle. Unfortunately, not low enough. I soldiered a female license plate connector onto the camera LED lead because considering the history of these cameras, I wasn't about the cut off the OEM male plug and splice the wires directly to the camera. I also noticed that during the manufacturing of these cameras, sealant is used carelessly. Instead of inserting the Micro Circuit Board/ LED, and applying sealant over it, they are applying it to the LED's as well diffusing the light projection. As you can see by the last photo, the underside lip of my trunk is in the upper portion of the screen. A return will initiated.

awesome device - Some install tips
The light is great - much better than the LEDs I had in the plate light before - the camera quality is better than the other "universal" under 25$ cameras I have bought. If you are having trouble installing this - buy a pack of cheapo LEDs that fit the socket - I do not recall the type at the moment - easy find here on amazon. When you get the bulbs - pull one of the cheapo LED bulbs out of the socket - You now have yourself a perfect base to make an adapter for your license plate light wiring. As the wires are dinky - as several people pointed out - it helps significantly if you have a soldering iron and some solid core "hook up wire." You cut about an inch or so of the solid core hook up wire and tin it. If your wire for your lights isnt stripped - do so - a little more than you might think youd need - the twist it tight and tin those. Wrap the tinned dinky light wire around the solid core hook up wire you tinned - and solder them together. You can also heat shrink them at this point - but if you dont have heat shrink you can vinyl tape up anything exposed. Push the now rigid solid core wire through the holes of the scavenged LED bulb base/socket and bend them over. There you go - you now have a working plate light without modifying your existing wiring harness. If you plug it in and its not working - try turning it around. If it doesnt work again - make sure you have enough of the hook up wire through the holes to make good contact with the factory socket - some times you may have to adjust the factory contact pins - pushing them towards the center as they become compressed from years of having a bulb jammed in there. Camera power and video signal are more straight forward - but require removing lots of trim panels and - in my case - drilling holes in the trunk hinge arms to mimic the factory mounting position of the lighting harness on the opposite hinge arm. I loomed mine and bought some "fir tree" zip ties - these are factory style zip ties that can be mounted in holes and give the install a cleaner look. Hope that can help someone out there having issues with the tiny wires that are on the light side of things.

Bad Fit
Don't fit my Civic 9th gen. The camera angle is not able to view anything, and it's not adjustable and should be more extended. I assembled it the right way; it's upside down. I tried disabling the case and reversing it, but I was still not able to see anything from the view.

Works but intermittently
I will start off first by saying you should probably buy a different camera if you want to attach this to a Honda pilot. I got this to work , kind of. Bought for a 2011 Honda Pilot. Was able to mount camera pretty easily by taking apart the plastic piece the camera was mounted to and used the metal bracket it came with to screw it into the original Honda mount. I cut the wire for the original Honda camera and spliced the new cameras wires into the original harness wire. The new camera comes attached with a red plug for power and a yellow RCA for video. The red.plug has a red wire and black wire. Red spliced to red. Black to black. (see picture). The yellow RCA has a yellow wire and a black wire. Yellow spliced to yellow, black wire to white wire. When I turn on the car and set to reverse, the camera will either keep flashing or have a blue screen. If I put the park brake on and leave it in reverse, I can walk to the back of the car and touch the camera with my hand and it starts working. Then as long as the car stays running, the camera works. Magic. If I shut off the car, I have to do the whole process again. This also only works when the interior trim is still removed. Once I install the trim again, it seems to flash or blue screen and I can't fix it. I've tried adding several different grounding cables with no luck. Again, try a different camera. I might be doing something wrong but I'm thinking this camera is just kind of cheap which is why I decided to buy it and try it out. Good luck Also, the Chinese lettering on the camera needs to be facing toward the ground when you mount it. You can't tell from the picture but I have it mounted upside down. I didn't figure that out until after

Bought this camera early October and finally got around to trying to install it as I just got my car back. Camera does not fit on the vehicle even though it says it’s made for my year of car. Now I’m past the return window so now I’m stuck with a camera that I can’t use and out of some money. Pretty disappointed,

We installed this to a 2011 Honda Pilot. It worked perfect and picture was perfect. However it quit working after a few month's of use. I would recommend paying a little more money for a better one. You get what you pay fore in the long run.
