Greenies Pill Pockets Treats for Dogs 15.8oz Value Packs

These are just so expensive...I started using the Costco pill pockets at the pharmacy there. They’re harder to work with but we dispense about 30 pills a day - and the dogs don’t mind. The price needs to come down on these - that manufacturer is taking advantage.... I have paid several thousand dollars for this product both at petco and Kahoots as well as online - I just had to put my foot down.

My big dog Sammy eats anything, so these Pill Pockets are just a nice treat for him on top of his daily meds. However, my five pound chihuahua Jaycey is more selective! It's not that she is picky; it's that she has a small mouth and no teeth. She also prefers hard food and treats! I was so shocked when she was growling at Sam and trying to take his Pocket! I gave her a piece, and she scarfed it down. Then I tried to hide her pills in them... To be fair, she did spit the pills out, but they must have been coated in the Pocket flavor because then she went back and ate the pills! I am so happy these work for little Jaycey! Now I don't have to hover over her while she is eating her dry food to make sure she eats her pills. Honestly, one is a capsule that can't be opened, which is the hardest and most important thing for her to take! I am one happy dog mom!

When I received the product, the packaging was awful. They were 2 smashed together bags inside envelope mail packaging, so nothing to protect the pill pockets themselves. They were all more misshapen than what you get at the store physically, and half of then were falling apart.That said, pill pockets on their own are great. The cheese flavor is delicious to all my dogs, even the pickiest eater. They also dont smell as strongly as the chicken flavor, which gives me a headache. Also, even though they came damaged, you can still use most of it, because they are a squishy product to begin with, and you remold them around your pill anyway.

I’ve always purchased these in the past, for quite awhile now. I don’t know if it was just this particular batch of the cheese flavored ones, or not...but they were for the most part all crumbled, as seen in the pictures. Just wondered if there was an factory issue, or not. I will although continue to purchase, because of the ease they are to administer my dogs pills twice daily. I’ve attached the UPC code for reference.

So I have a pup that can sniff out "meds" of any kind and literally spits it out of everything I've ever tried to hide it in. He has allergies, so I have no choice but to give him pills daily, twice a day. When my Vet introduced me to Pill Pockets, Hickory flavor, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. No more fighting to get it down his throat. The smell alone catches his attention immediately, so while I am molding this little tasty treat around the capsule, he is drooling in anticipation. Thank you Greenies for making my life just that much easier!!

My dog take meds morning and night, so pill pockets work well for us. We have purchase several flavored in the past and thought the variety pack would be a good choice. The other two flavors are most and pliable, however the cheese is dry and crumbles. Our dog is also not as happy with the cheese flavor even though she is a cheese eater.

My pups don’t mind their meds With these. One of them is on heart medicine so she’ll be needing her pill pockets the rest of her life. They both prefer the Hickory flavored ones.The 4 rating is because I order multiple large bags st a time and they are shipped in envelopes. The mailman shoved them to fit in my rural mailbox so I get broken pieces instead of pockets! If you could ship in a box I would appreciate it.

I have been using pill pockets for many years and have never had a bad experience until now. I ordered 2 bags of the Hickory Smoke flavor and both are hard, stale, and dry. The pill pockets look like they have been over-baked. They crumble and I can't get them to form around a pill. I'm not even sure they are the real Pill Pocket.
