Thank you for choosing Maxpower Tools! If you are using shackle to hang the wrenches, for our 12 inch spud wrench, we will recommend a shackle between 5/16" to 1/2". For our 16 inch spud wrench, we will recommend a shackle between 3/8" to 3/4".

How far does this wrench open? And is it made in America?

The max jaws opening is 1-3/8 inch (34mm) for our 12" spud wrench and 1-5/8 inch (41mm) for our 16" spud wrench.
