Give Nancy a chance!! Cute show!!
We started watching this show on Disney after having read quite a few of the books with my six year old son. He loves learning all the new words Nancy introduces and in general it’s a cute series.Absolutely love this show! I’ve read a lot of comments on here complaining about how Nancy is selfish; bossy; bratty- only does nice things if it benefits herself etc. They apparently have not watched seasons one and two; EVERY episode, multiple (and I mean DOZENS) of times. Both my 18mo daughter and my almost three year old son love this show. The songs are cute; Nancy (like in the books) teaches the viewers a lot of “fancy” words and their meanings- and yes, at times she can be a brat.Nancy is SIX; can you honestly show me a six year old that isn’t? It’s REALISTIC, and mostly it offers teaching moments. For the Christmas episode, Nancy wanted a fuschia bike and spent the entire episode doing nice things because she thought she was on the naughty list- only to find out at the end she ends up telling Santa the only thing she REALLY wanted was for the little girl who was behind her in line (who also worried she wouldn’t get anything for Christmas because her parents were going through a tough time) to have a good Christmas. She ends up getting the bike for Christmas, and her and her mom go leave it at the little girl’s front door. Her little sister JoJo’s goldfish died. Nancy spent the whole episode (and all her own money) trying to win JoJo a replacement goldfish so that she wouldn’t be sad. She never ended up winning it; JoJo learned of the death, and Nancy had a little funeral for the fish where she sang a song.On Father’s Day she only made one “best grandfather” card; so when her other grandfather showed up unexpectedly she spent the whole episode agonizing what she should do because she didn’t want to hurt either one of their feelings.Another episode she is heartbroken (and jealous) because her best friend Bree got the lead part Nancy wanted in Ballet. She felt sorry for herself and upset for a little while before she came to the realization that her best friend was a great dancer and deserved the part. She apologized for being jealous and the way she behaved and then she gave Bree the crown she had made for herself when she thought the part would be hers.As you can tell; I’ve definitely watched my fair share of Fancy Nancy LOL.I mean she’s a typical 6 year old that makes mistakes and can be a brat occasionally, but there is always a lesson to be learned. There are plenty of teaching moments in every episode. The songs are great; I think they capture Nancy and are pretty spot on from the books.I would definitely recommend. Give it a chance; my son and daughter BOTH really love the show.

Perfect for any little kid looking to be a little bit "FANCY"
This is a cute little movie; my girls love Nancy. Everyday they have me play it and then they will play tea party and recently, like they are at work.Even I have caught myself watching this beloved child's show originally based off a collection of books!

Fun, educational and real. Love it!
I think the makers of this show are to be congratulated! Not only is it a cute and entertaining show, but is also educational. Nancy is real. She is at times bratty and selfish and that is where the teaching moments come in. She is. It allowed to stay that way. Through interactions with her loving ( not idiotic or overly indulgent) parents, sister, friends and other caring adults, everyone learns to communicate and care for each other in a healthy way. My 2 and 3 year olds love the fancy vocabulary and are encouraged to express their feelings. They also love the catchy, singable songs. Love that it’s safe and fun. It’s a family favorite!
