I love the book, and the author!
I am reading this book because of it's content! I love it, someday I will order another copy because the one I received from Amazon arrived in horrible condition. It is a book, from an author I admire. I ordered a NEW copy because I intend to keep it in my personal library. If I wanted a used beat up version, i would have expected this condition. Amazon needs to actually PACK the merchandise, not just throw it in a bag...after already damaged.

Love Ted Andrews
I love this book and will always treasure it. I may lend it, but only to my special friends who I trust.Ted Andrews is a very good clear and easy to understand writer.Others have been critical that there was a lot about the writer in this book - that is one of the aspects I really enjoyed. It was partly like reading a novel, but about a real and special person. I felt I got to know and admire the this amazing man. I am so sorry to hear he has passed away; the world is a lesser place without him and his connection and love of animals. I intend to read every book that he has written and will certainly purchase some of his card decks. The book shows great understanding of the spirit world and has opened me to new ways of thinking and heightened my awareness That for me is a successful book. Thank you so much Ted.

Good Book
Helpful book. I love all of his books and it's sad the author passed away young. He really was a gem in understanding spiritual matters and explaining them in a very grounded and down to earth way.

Not your typical Ted book.
This book is somewhat of a departure from Ted's other books. He talks about how he came to write in the metaphysical field and shows how you too can learn to intercede with those spirits around you. It does contain a few exercises which are common in his books. Overall, it's a great book that shows you a side of Ted that was not readily available previously. One thing that should be noted: the editing, as with most of Ted's books, is lacking, and you will find a few mistakes, but it doesn't detract from the book itself.

Spirits: animal, angels and ancestors
I gave this book 5 stars but after reading Andrew's "Animal-Speak" it was difficult because nothing else can measure up. However, this is a good basic book and packs a lot of information inside. Andrews addresses some of the difficulties of working with spirits but he also shows the possibilities and fulfillment that one can reach when the heart is truly open to the spirit world. One might assume that spirits are a higher entity than a human being and the spirit is always correct; Andrews tells us that this is not necessarily so, the spirits might not have your best interest at heart. A good read whether you believe or not.

A legacy of a great man.
For anyone who is open to the gifts we have received from nature, this is truly a divineresource of information. Ted Andrews was dynamic in his teachings and even thoughhe has departed physically from the earth plane, his spirit is among us, as we all areone. I have several of his publishings and will be purchasing more. This man was, is,a "rara avis."

what an excellent book. everything about this book is refreshing
what an excellent book. everything about this book is refreshing, grounded and reminds those involved in this work to concentrate on themselves. to often people get into healing work and become a bit arrogant and singular minded in their beliefs.that is NOT what the work should be about. i loved loved loved this book.

This book offers so much information
The Intersession of Spirits:Working With Animals, Angels and Ancsetors is full of beautiful stories about animals that Ted worked with and very useable information to better one's life emotionally, spiritually and physically. I'm so thankful Ted wrote this book and I'm so thankful that I read it. It's sad that Ted left this world too soon. He had so much to offer.

Mis-leading title
I have given this book 2 stars because, although the author is clearly a knowledgeable and ethical man, I bought the book for the sole purpose of learning more about ancestor spirits (mentioned in the title) but shockingly there is absolutely nothing in this book about them. I have been searching for a book for a long time about ancestor/familial spirits (and if anyone knows of one I'd be very grateful if they could tell me) so obviously I was pleased when I came across the title of this one. Because of its title, I duly expected that a reasonable part of the book would be taken up with the topic of ancestor/family spirits - perhaps 20-30% (with animals and angels making up the rest). However imagine my complete shock when it arrived and I looked through it. No mention of ancestors in any chapter headings, no mention of ancestors in the index at the back - in fact no mention of them anywhere (apart from one short sentence where the author said his grandfather used to speak to his dead brothers/sisters). It just makes me so angry that the title and content don't match up and I wonder why the publisher has allowed the author to do this - it is a huge oversight. If I'd seen the book in a store, it would have been left firmly on the shelf.Despite its title (mentioning animals, angels and ancestors) this book is just a hotch potch of various things to do with spirit - ranging from power animals, signs/omens, various goddesses, death and an awful lot on nature spirits i.e. faeries/elves/goblins etc. I am interested in power animals and I already have a number of books on them - so the pieces in this book didn't really add anything to what I was already aware of. Sadly an awful lot in this book didn't particularly interest me. Perhaps it was just because I was just so disheartened and deceived after finding out that what I'd bought the book for (ancestors) wasn't in there at all. In addition, I wasn't overly impressed with the layout either. There are chapters on specific topics but sometimes it just randomly hops around (e.g. you get a snippet of info about an Egyptian goddess in another section) - for some reason the book just didn't hang together very well. The only person it may be of use to is someone who is interested in finding out more about spirit and just wants an overall view. As I've mentioned before, although I believe the title is very duplicitous regarding the book's content, I gave it 2 stars as I did come across 1 or 2 nuggets of interesting information - particularly about being very careful when using psychics. Having been aware of various experiences of psychics (who are either hopeless at predictions and/or hopeless at communicating with clients) it was refreshing at least to read his views on them - particularly as it's very much a case of "buyer beware" when using them but sadly it's the clients who have to deal with the disappointment and fallout when the psychics' predictions/pronouncements either don't materialise or turn out to be horribly wrong. However, apart from the odd snippets of information, this book for me was a real waste of money.

A fabulous book!
I have only recently discovered Ted Andrews work but have to say I am very glad I did, but was quite sad to hear he has passed to the spirit world. This is a wonderful book and one you won't be able to put down, I read the whole thing within a matter of days. A sort of autobiography and guidebook rolled into one many fasinating subjects are covered such as spirits, guides, elementals, nature spirits, working with animal totems and spirit guides and animals in general.Ted seeks to dispel myths about certain areas of spirituality and I believe he truly was the first authur to present much of the information concerning animal totems, spiritguides, messages, signs and omens to the public through his own amazing gifts and life experineces and not by "borrowing" the information from other authors as he briefly hints at in this book, as many other authors on the subject have done. You will find If you look in many other books on the same subject there will nearly always be Ted's work listed in the bibliography. This book had the effect of making me fee like a child again filled with the wonder and excitment of life and brought back many happy memories from my own childhood. I believe Ted must of known his days were coming to an end as he wrote this book only a few years earlier but I am very glad he did and hope more people will read it and review it positively as I have done.Although I suggest you do not purchasing it from gb_books_uk as they sent me an unedited version of the book with numerous spelling mistakes and repeated sentences for a very expensive price! I was not impressed but didn't let it spoil the book for me.

It's like a title was picked to sell it
I'd heard much about Ted Andrews and his work. Unfortunately his ability to coherently write about what he did is lacking. The books were so badly edited it became difficult to read them without finding spelling mistakes and disjointed thoughts. That said, there was information in the book that was interesting, but it took such a long time to get to the point. I also find that the title(s) do not always really reflect what is in the book. It's like a title was picked to sell it.

Hidden Treasure!
This is a fabulous book if you want to know anything along the lines of working with animals (not necessarily just spirit guides), angels and ancestors. It was a real special find for me, as these all have appeared in my life and this book really helped me to understand how to work with them instead of being afraid of them, like I was for years before. I would highly recommend this book for everyone who is interested in ancestors(not just making contact, but "feeling their presence"), animals or angels. It touches on psychic protection, but if you want more in-depth reading on that, Ted Andrews also wrote a book properly titled "Psychic Protection" which I found to be a good read. If you are interested in working with Angels, Doreen Virtues' Archangel deck is a very good tool, even if you're just starting out.
