One of the best kitchen items.
I already had the larger size so decided to get this one in small size also. They work great for streaming vegetables.

Very Convenient
I love this microwave pot and its larger size version. Before buying this smaller size of the Micro-Cooker pot I bought two of the larger size version. The larger size version also makes for the perfect microwave pasta cooker. This is how you do it: Put the desired amount of dry pasta in the pot. Add enough cold water to cover the pasta. The cooking time is easy, as you just add 3 minutes to the cooking time instructions listed on the box of pasta. (I primarily eat De Cecco brand Penne and De Cecco brand Gnocchi. I have not tried cooking spaghetti, but I imagine it would work as long as you rip the dry spaghetti in half, of course. I cook with the lid off, and then put the lid on after cooking, to drain the residual water. But you can also cook with the lid on. I do not stop the microwave to stir. I found that it's not necessary when cooking the pastas I'm cooking. The pasta comes out perfect every time, and the taste is the same as if using a pot on the stove.)I also use the larger and smaller Pampered Chef microwave pots for soup. This smaller size version is perfect for soup, especially if you like to drain off some of the soup's liquid before eating. The pots come out of the microwave cool to the touch. These pots add a lot of convenience. I am very glad I found them.

Convenient to use and excellent quality
I love this cooker. I have the larger size as well and use them both all throughout the day. They are so convenient for vegetables and for heating up foods. I like to put a few Yukon gold potatoes with a bit of water and cook them and then either fry them in a pan or make mashed potatoes; they turn out perfectly done in the microwave when using this cooker --- moist and quite quick compared to other cooking methods. I also make oatmeal and have even made a single-serving brownie in it. Yum!What I noticed about both cookers when I first received them in the mail is that they are made in USA and do not have the typical strong, cheap plastic smell that is common in such products today. I was able to wash them and use them immediately as they had no unpleasant odor typical of plastic containers.

If you love quick and easy, this is the kitchen device to have!
Bought this a little while back. I use it regularly to steam broccoli and other veg. Works well and I like that I can strain whatever it is I made before even opening the lid. Super convenient. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the measurements of the item made me believe it was bigger (capacity) than it actually is. I can fit enough for two servings in the container but the measurements lead me to believe it would hold more. Not a complaint but just a comment. Pampered Chef is still the way to go for all things microwave.

Perfect size for 2 people.
A friend of mine has one of these and I really liked it. It’s easy to use and to clean. I wish I had purchased the larger one to use when we have company for dinner.

Great microwave cookware that will last a long time if taken care of
These are great for cooking vegetables and other foods in the microwave. We had been using a couple of these for over 15 years and one finally bit the dust. Just make sure you only put it on the top rack of the dishwasher. I ruined one of mine by putting it on the bottom rack. These have holes on the top for venting and for pouring the liquids out without having to open the top. The lid is easy to put on and off.

Great For Cooking Oatmeal
This little pan is perfect for cooking my breakfast oatmeal. The lid can be a pain until you get used to it; it's nominally a snap-on lid but I find it easier to align the flanges on the lid that overlap the lip of the pan and close by rotating the lid until its handle overlaps the tab on the pan's handle. It's not a tight seal but more than adequate for the purposes this pan is meant for. The plastic, that the pan is made of, apparently is not resonant at microwave frequencies; that is, even after cooking the oatmeal (and added dried fruit and walnuts) for nine and a half minutes (it's not instant oatmeal) the handle is never hot or even warm (I cook at one third power but the ingredients do get quite hot). The oatmeal residue rinses off well and the pan is dishwasher safe. Now if only some research group would find that two eggs over hard, with four strips of bacon, country fried potatoes and a couple of slices of buttered toast with jam was more healthy than oatmeal.
