Excellent quality for such old movies.

I really enjoyed the 10-pack set I received from the buyer. The DVDs played well, the sound was good, and there was no skipping or pausing. Aside from the list of contents provided in the item description, only Disc #1 had two different films rather than those listed. My Disc #1 contained The Black Camel (1931), The Trap (1946), and Chinese Ring (1947), which is alright but I would have enjoyed seeing the two films listed in the item description. Yes, the DVDs arrived in paper sleeves but that wasn't a big deal as I just added them to a DVD folio notebook of other discs I either transferred from VHS or bought without the covers or jackets. I am contacting the seller to see if I can get the Disc #1 listed in the product description and will let potential buyers know. I read that other buyers had radio show adaptations of Charlie Chan on their DVD purchases, which would have been nice to hear, but I unable to find any listing for such a product at Amazon. Maybe the buyer posted a comment for the wrong item? Aside from that, this was a good buy and am glad to have almost the entire CC collection to watch as I wish.

The first disk is very low quality, but the rest are halfway decent. They do a decent job of doing the interlace from an original source at 23.976. These are all DVDR in Region 0. I didn't look at the Old Time Radio Shows, but the disc is there. The 3 cases are decent and all discs have a printed paper label. THIS IS A TERRIFIC PACKAGE OF CHARLIE CHAN MOVIES FOR EVERYONE THAT LOVES THEM! Lots of folks say the discs skip and won't play. That's only because of the packaging they come in. We put ours in plastic disc boxes and out of the paper sleeves. Then if we had one skip, we rubbed it on a cotton cloth--t-shirt for a couple of seconds, put it back in the player and it played perfectly. These copies are very clear and once you wipe the ones that skip, they play great! It's JUST STATIC ELECTRICITY on the discs because of the paper sleeves. All the great movies are included in this package. We love them!!!

I watched one segment at night before bed. It relaxed me and seemed to erase all the frustrations of the day. It was a time that was desired to dream about.
