Retro 51 Easy Flow 9000 Ballpoint Refills, Black Ink, 3-Pack – German Engineered for Smooth Writing, Compatible with Tornado Pens

I love my retro pens. I always carry a reto pen and a moleskine in my pocket. Old school. I know I could use my iPhone's notes... but I like to write things down. Also provides the optics that I am paying attention... and indeed, I am. No distractions from the incoming messages. The refills fit and write beautifully.

Have used these for years and the quality is still amazing. They last a long time and write very smooth. Never any gunk build-up at all either. Highly recommended.

I bought these to refill the ink in the Apple pens that I bought from the Apple company store. The Apple pen uses the same Retro 1951 ballpoint ink refill. I bought 3 Apple pens and of course, I bought the colors to match the iPhones, the laptop and the iPad :<). Aside from being a pen with an Apple logo on it, these pens are really good writing instruments. The Apple pens are neither too heavy or too light and with just the right weight. I am a loss control consultant and I write 80 plus page reports and the Apple pen with this ink is the best combo. I replaced the Waterman Exception rollerball pen with the Apple pen because it really writes well. I will be back in San Francisco next year, and I will pick up at few more Apple pens just because they are such fine writing instruments. At $35 a piece, it is still worth it considering my Waterman Exception which I have two are over $200 a piece.

The refill works fine on some paper but skips on photo like paper.

Flows smoothly with enough tooth to grab onto paper but not as much as a ballpoint. Good coverage and blackness/density.

I have a unique pen and thought I'd have trouble finding replacing ink. Easy flow 9000 is perfect!

I have a Retro 1951 Tornado pen, so I thought this refill would be perfect. It started out fine, but within days became incredibly blobby. I’m wiping the point with tissue all the time, and it’s still leaving blobs on my study Bible. Very unsatisfied with this refill. Ordered a different brand and waiting for it to arrive.

The ink is great. Smooth writing buuuut, my first cartridge ran out of ink on the first day of using it. Maybe I got a defective cartridge 🤷🏻‍♂️I’ll be putting the second one in today with hopefully better results.
