After two trips I can say I absolutely love this bag. It has a compartment for everything and is so well thought out for a modern bag wheather on your shoulder or slipped on to your suitcase handle.The zippers are tight and high quality, and I was amazed how well it accommodated my gaggle of electronics, etc. I've carried a Tumi for years but I am a big convert to this bag. I love that it feels sleek and not frumpy.

PROS- Material- Construction- Zippers (stiff at first but I have other bags with these. They get easier)- Storage space- Versatility- DesignCONS- Top handle does not stick up enough to be useful. It's so low that your knuckles dig into the zippers and it crushes your fingers. Would have be better with some elastic so that it stretches out more- The shoulder strap mechanism that shortens and extends it just sticks and I have to fight with it. Not like what I saw in the video of it simply sliding up and down.- Laptop pocket is for up to 15" and they mean it. 15.9 is a complete no go.Why did I give it 5 stars? Because it's worth it! The CONS listed above don't impact that score. Sure the handle issue is real and should be addressed but I'm not reducing the score by 20% because of a handle that I will rarely use.The magnetic straps do twist around quite a bit (the nature of a free swinging strap mechanism). But they're magnetic! Bonus points for being awesome. If they twist up, I actually like popping them off and hearing them click back on.But here is the real deal. The review above me said it doesn't stand up and falls over. It's not a verified purchase so I'm not sure what that's about. The bag stands up! Laptop, no laptop, whatever! I toss it on the floor in the office and it's planted like a brick! It's voodoo (or maybe just some weird way I packed it).This isn't a simple bag. It's THE bag!

I bought this bag years ago and absolutely loved it. One of the shoulder clasps broke after a year or so of heavy use. I was sad at the time and didn’t think about any sort of warranty support. I’m so used to bags falling apart and moving on so I tossed it aside. Fast forward about 3 years as I was shopping for a new bag and wound up back on Nomatic’s site looking at the exact same bag I once had. Then I realized they offered a lifetime warranty. I dug up my receipt took a photo and submitted a claim. 24 hours later I had an RMA. Shipped it out and 2 business days later I’m looking at my brand new bag!! Excellent support for an excellent product!

I like the case, but on at least two occasions, I have tried to pick the bag up by the shoulder strap, and it's come off. The claim that the strap will always stay attached is demonstrably wrong.

Just got the Nomatic messenger for Black Friday. I read all the reviews and comments and felt obliged to comment that most of the complaints (which were already minor) have been addressed. The zippers work well. The glasses compartment now has a hard case. The water bottle compartment has a magnetic snap back system.Congrats Nomatic on listening to your customers! Your product is truly improved, therefore better than I expected and is, by far the best messenger bag I have ever bought.Incredibly I switched from the Thule messenger bag that is much larger (almost too large for daily use) and the Nomatic fits more items! I couldn’t believe it. Certainly this is due to the well thought out layout.New fan!

I love Nomatic. I’ve carried their 20L backpack for 7 years now, have many of their travel accessories (toiletry bag, laundry bag, collapsible duffel, etc.), and have even bought bags as gifts. The quality is superb. The features are well thought out. The warranty and customer service are top notch.All these purchases were made through Amazon.Today my messenger bag arrived. I paid full price, but got what appears to be a used bag. The inside is scuffed. I didn’t get the spacer insert. But I did get someone else’s key, which I guess is a value add.I’ll be returning this for sure.

Ordered this in advance of a 10-day business trip. Had high hopes after watching the many videos on their products.I love the strap and how it disconnects. Really neat. Material is very nice and appears sturdy and stain resistant. Zippers weren’t as free-movin (no one-handed operation), the reason I returned it was because it is just too small. Only enough room for laptop, a few pens, and about one 1” file folder. Add and iPad and water bottle and there was only about enough room for a pack of gum.The mobile phone pocket would be a nice feature for going through security if you usually keep your phone in your pocket. The magnetic water bottle pocket was a disappointment because it didn’t have great “snap back” into the closed position.Finally, the empty weight of the bag is about 4 pounds-awfully heavy for such a small bag.If you want a minimalist bag (but don’t care about weight) this is a nice looking, thoughtfully designed bag.

I was looking over several reviews on men's bags, laptop bags, etc. The price, it's a big NO. I finally decided to purchase it through Amazon and if I don't like it to return it.Let me tell you....this is the best men's bag you can own. I was so surprised with the quality and durability that it didn't cross my mind to return it due to its price.Even from the first day at work people they noticed that I've got a super nice new bag.Try it and you will remember my words!
